Post links to usefull or cool programs here, along with a description. Don't post comedy links or such, there is another thread for that.
This program (http://www.atomtime.com) will check your computer's clock against an atomic clock, and set it dead on.

is my fav tiny little email program. it is a text based pop3 email checked. works well with juno, hotmail, yahoo, aol, roadrunner, att, and a bunch of other. i can see the gist of the email and decide whether it is worth my time actually loogging in to read them proper. no virii. it will also check multiple accounts, as i have 2 yahoo and 2 hotmail accounts. i've been using it for 2 years now. every so often yahoo or hotmail will change their login screens, but eprompter is always very quick with updates.eprompter (http://www.eprompter.com)

ExamDiff - Good for checking between files for differences (invaluable for updating scripts where you haven't been told what has changed). Also good for teachers (I'd guess from the title) for checking for plagiarism. Two flavours - Free and Pro.

Hackman - Hex Editor/Debugging Tools. 'Nuff said really. Free.

No, Windows checks against the system clock and compares to what you set in the Windowws Clock settings control panel. If your system clock equals 16:30:00 and you set your Windows clock to 16:31:31, Windows will maintain a 1:31 delay on the clock display.
To check against the atomic clock, (I don't know whether that link is to the Greenwich atomic clock or the Naval Observatory) you need that handy little link provided by Cainam. How handy!
I will find something good to post other than an answer to a question next time.;)

Windows XP does synchronize with the NIST (National Institute of Space and Time) if you allow it to.
Anyway, SmartFTP (http://www.smartftp.com/) is a good little program I use for FTP.

A really neat text editor: http://www.textpad.com
it colour codes html tags, you can have multiple docs open at once, supports some system files, supports marcos, has a spell checker, and has a feature where by it opens your page up in your default browser.
is that nice, or is that nice :D
....oh, and it's free :D

Major Geeks !! (http://www.majorgeeks.com/) is another great site for free downloads and lots of other tasty stuff.
The Driver Guide (http://www.driversguide.com) is a terrific place to find device driver software. The search functions require you to log in. The user ID is "drivers" (minus the quotation marks) and the password is "all" (again minus the quotes)

Speaking of photos, this (http://www.panoramafactory.com/) program will stitch together multiple photos into a panorama shot. One of the best programs of it's kind, and has automatic settings for several hundred cameras. The site has several versions, older freeware, and a new pay version.

Firebird (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firebird/) is my trusty browser that I've been using for almost a year now, has useful features like popup blocking, image and cookie blocking to prevent your eyes being harassed.
POPfile (http://popfile.sourceforge.net/) is a nifty email filter that sits between your server and your email client and learns from what you classify in it.
