There has been a punk thread, a blink thread, a linkin park thread, so it's about time for something I really enjoy, contemporary hardcore and a dash of metalcore. Bands I enjoy:
Poison the Well
Ateyu
Refused
As I Lay Dying
Shadows Fall
Killswitch Engage
A Static Lullaby (Ok maybe more emo-core)
The Dillinger Escape Plan
From Autumn To Ashes (they are decent)
and for good measure: Thrice

does ANYBODY listen to these bands, if so I'd be willing to chat about them. And also similar bands that you find awesome too.

Posion The Well... i've heard they are pretty good, i have to listen for myself tho.

I listen to that type of stuff, I listen to a lot of noise bands i guess you would call them, like converge and the dillinger escape plan. and you said you listen to As I Lay Dying, yeah well i guess one of the guitarest goes to one of the schools here and my friend met the guy and they hang out a lot now. have you heard of the sawtooth grin or the number twelve looks like you? yeah well they are signed with brutal records or something like that and that label heard my band todieattwenty and they were thinking about signing us or something i never heard much about it but we never really got back to them and we broke up. yeah but its cool that someone started a thread like this.
