Its been about a week and a half since the old pub closed down.
And now there is a new one.
And its run by Dr.Electro which makes it twice as good.
But seeing as it is past midnight, we will have to wait for people to come and post in here, I suppose.
Oh well!

I had a hard time getting here. There was no one to geve me docking instructions for my dungeon. I had to use a secondary portal, climb out and leg it up and down the streets seeking appropriate real estate.

After travail, trial and hardship, I found this place. At the mo, it is little better than a dive with spit and sawdust for floor covering. I invite my fellow forumites to pitch in. Lend a hand with the decorating you talented Orangites! I know you have it in you. Of course, I will feed you and extend my grandfatherly love to you all.

Since "Witherspoons" is fast moving down the last posted thread list thingy, and a pub of mine can NEVER compete with Dr E., I hereby degree The Dragon's Tankard as my new watering hole (sorry to put it so crudly, but havent been to bed yet...).

With regard to the pub quiz, those who wish to enter pledge X amount of rupees into the game. The only problem is, how do people answer? There are 2 posibilities.

1) First to answer after the question is posted. The problem is, whaat if people are not, or cannot be, online at the time of posting. The "cannot be" was added, as a certain time could be arranged for the posting.

2) The quiz can be posted, and people PM their answers. The problem is, who is going to check each entry, especially as only X amount of PMs can be recieved, as I keep being reminded...

Another problem which arises, who is going to ensure that people do not cheat, by looking up answers via the web world beyond the orange?

Good idea Work?, but can you solve these problems???

As for the pub quiz Dr-E, what i was thinking is thus:
everyone who wants to enter donates me rupies which forms the prize fund. I then post the questions in this thread and the participants PMs me the answers. after a set period, say a week, i post the answers and winners in this thread and donate them the prize money.
as for cheating, i would hope that people would not cheat...

I've just finished 3 of my exams! WAROTA!

1. Maths (No Calculator)

EXTREMLY HARD! I even had the easy paper cause I was in Set 5. (I was in Set 2, but I forgot my calculator and dropped loads of sets) The questions didn't make sense and there was some remember things that had nothing to do with the exam.
I THINK I GOT - 50%

2. Science

It was OK, there was three diffrent papers, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Physics was the easiest and Biology was the hardest.
I THINK I GOT (ALL THREE IN ONE) - 70%

2a. Physics

All the questions were about the power of forces and electricity. I'm really good at Physics so this paper was a piece of cheese.
I THINK I GOT - 80%

2b. Chemistry

Bit hard, some of the questions I had already done about 5 times already. But some questions were easy also and I am doing very well. :)
I THINK I GOT - 60%

2c. Biology

AHH! SOLID! (get it? goes with gas and liquid). But seriously, it was extremly hard, not as hard as the Maths exam, but hard none the less. There was one question I've had before, but I couldn't understand most of it.
I THINK I GOT - 50%

3. English Reading

I have one word for this. Biased. It was questions like
WHY DO YOU THINK THAT CONTRAST WAS GOOD
I was tempted to put
IT WASN'T GOOD, STOP BEING BIASED
But they would probably cancel my paper, even though I was telling the truth. It was easy though.

One misguided science teacher performs a "lunar transmogrification experiment" on a timid little hamster who "weres out" on the full moon. she scares the crap out of the whole school, until the gecko discovers that she is even more scared than everybody else is of her. It is funny with a capital F.

Is everyone having a fun valentines day? All i have planned today is to and write my dissertation until my eyes fall out of my head from staring at a badly adjusted computer screen. i have to abandon my room and head to the library today, where the screens are set up so the refresh rate is all wrong and the image looks blurry. It's not a good thing, as after 30 minutes of staring at the screen, i end up with the biggest migraine known to mankind. i also develop a need to kill someone. (the number of university IT technicans has dropped a lot in the last few days. I can't think why)
