I don't know about that phone, but on mine (Nokia 7250) You can get a link cable or use an infared port on a laptop to transfer JPG images across. You can also use photos taken with the phone.

i had that phone for about 2 days this week..i lost it last night while drunk. and apparently i need to get a police number thing before my phone insurance gives me a new un. (cunts, thats soo much effort)

its actually alrite its pretty sturdy i did manage to smash its screen within the first day well crack it. you can make backgrounds they are just the right resolution either jpegs or bitmap files and i transfere it across using bluetooth you can buy a patch cable for it at about 30 quid or something they tried flogging to me.

you can even use the theme editor to make whole new themes not just backgrounds

The Cheapskate method to making a background

Make the picture you want to use, making sure that it has the same resolution as your screen (can't remember for T610).

Put it on the interweb.

Point your magical WAP device at the url where you've stuck your pic.

Download it onto your phone.

You've got a background for a few pence.

yeah yeah the same thing applies for ring tones too i downloaded alload of midi files and uploaded them to some webspace and pointed my wap browser on my old old phone to the address and hey presto shit loads of ringtones.

theres a cheaper method*, just ir / bt / datacable it to your phone from yo' puter
