Im using the half-life map editor, valve hammer, and i am creating my new map, as i compile it, i get an error saying I am not allowed to use the ORIGIN brush outside of rotating doors, and i cannot find it, is there any way i can get the program to locate the error for me?

no you need to do it yourself, hammer is a proper bastard, but there may be a seperate prog you can use to find the problem have a lookage on google

I opened the .map file in notepad and I can see the lines
'( 244 -374 -69 ) ( 248 -374 -69 ) ( 248 -378 -69 ) ORIGIN [ 1 0 0 0 ] [ 0 -1 0 0 ] 0 1 1 '
dotted around.
There are 9 sets of these around, and I only have 8 swining doors, so that may be the problem, how do i read the coordinates?

I've only toyed with VH a small amount, but I think the error is that the 'origin' is directly next to a door that swings outwards. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think an origin is where an object gets created-so if the object was created while a door was 'swinging' open it would get stuck, so Valve put an error in.

I recommend striking it sharply with a 22 oz. ball-pein.
