I admin a few forums using phpBB, but i don't really know how to play around with it that well, so i'm asking for help

What sort of things can you do to it?

Is there anything better (that doesn't cost much)?

On topic again:You can get some good stuff in phpBB, hacks and such like the shop hack, and phpBB is free! goto www.phpbbhacks.com to get hacks.

I've got a couple of hacks i wish to install, but i'm having some trouble.

they want me to install them to the root phpbb directory, but i don't know how to get to that.

Anyone wish to offer advice?

The root directory is basically the bottom PHPBB folder. The one that contains all the other forum folders (it's usually called phpBB2 or similar)
