Im conducting a Psychology exmperiment

Hello all,

For my Psychology A2 coursework I am conducting a study into gaming, and I need some volunteers to take part.

You will be required to play either CS 1.6, CSS, or the Sims (depending upon which one you own/play the most) for an hour whilst on a ventrilo server with your fellow players. We will need approximately 10 people for both CS and the Sims. Following the game play you will be asked to fill out a small questionaire.

Oh do you have to pay for ventrillo? If so how much?

Ventrilo is a voice comm program used primarily for gaming clans and guilds.
It's pretty much the same thing (although better, imo) as Teamspeak.

Free from http://www.ventrilo.com/ depending on the version chris wants to run on his vent server.

Only problem is that my mic is not working fully atm, will I need it that much?

Vent is free, and we will use my WoW guilds vent server.

The only reason we would like you to use vent is to listen to your reactions throughout the game play. Its not vital, but helpful.

I would waaay prefer to be playing 1.6, but i can play source for an hour (i think) if need be.
Almost definitely a big yes if it is after the 25th of June (either 1.6 or source), probably yes if before that as well.

Well I have to conduct it before the end of term. So pretty soon I would have thought. Next couple of weeks I would guess.

I get my computer back in three weeks. Untill then I'm relying on my psp for internet. I have the psp version of the sims as well if that helps? Hmmm.

Yeah I was worried about this with the Sims 2 Players. Im guessing that in all honesty it wouldnt be nessisary, maybe a chat client such as xfire, or IRC might work better.

CSS guys however, I know there will some sort of action on Vent so we might as well.

I'm guessing having "push-to-talk" on would be a bit useless for that. What should I have it set to?

I can play sims 2 for an hour but you'll have to explain the rest of what you want to me in more detail. I'm quite computer illiterate
