Well, I found this little app on Facebook today (omg networking sitez) that tells you your biorhythm in plain English. I've never really bothered with them before but heard of them. I already knew horoscopes were crap and every different horoscope site you went on gave you a different one.

These biorhythm things though.. woah.
Here's a wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biorhythm

Basically it's based on these cycles that are thought to go on since birth. They're supposed to show your good days and bad days beforehand.
The app I found on Facebook only tells you about today. The developer says he's working on a "Future Plans" thing to add soon.

Mine was pretty spot on. I sort of regret bringing tis up on my "critical day". (Basically, my really really bad day. Which it was.)
Physical: Take care. You're in the critical zone for clumsiness (0 % but rising.)
When going out to do a DJ job today (I just play music for entertainment) I knocked into the tray next to my computer desk (twice) and managed to knock down my Beatles: 1 CD case and it broke. Woo.

Emotional: VERY LOW INDEED. Look after yourself. (-100 % but rising.)
While I was doing my DJ gig, old ladies galore were repeatedly telling me to turn down the volume. It really got annoying. On top of that I'm just generally down in the dumps.

Intellectual: An OK day for brain power. (19 % and rising.)
I didn't do anything smart today, but that's what it said so... I don't know. Does buying the Memory Almost Full album count?

On the lighter side, I made some money today.

Anyways. That's the basics of biorhythms and my day compared to what it told me.

Anybody else know about these things or actually follow them? Maybe we could see how accurate each other's are. I just found these really interesting and had to bring them up. :)

So it's horoscopes mascarading as science. I'd rather Mystic Meg gave me vague guesses at my future.

Predicts bad days before you have them? So you're aware that day is going to be bad, could be distracted and clumsy, and will DEFINATELY notice everything that goes wrong, moreso than other days...

SCIENCE :eng101:

Heh, this is the internet... lets face it, the majority of people here are science nerds (or at least computer geeks) and will insult any kind of horoscope type thingy as much as humanly possible.

Maybe. :/

I don't care if they're rubbish, I think horoscopes and biorhythms are just harmless fun. Adding that to my Facebook profile.

Well, the only way you can get different biorhythms on different sites is entering wrong information every time. And different wrong information. All biorhythms are calculated the same way.

I've gotten the same results across the board on different sites.

Now, I'm not saying that biorhythms are true, because they haven't really been studied to be proven, but they're better than reading a different horoscope on a bajillion different sites.

We now return to your regularly scheduled accusations, already in progress...

It may be better cos there aren't a hundred different ones but they're still rubbish. They predict how you are feeling based on when you were born, how is that different to a horoscope? Do you believe that everyone born on the same day will feel the same?

So BS is better when it's consistent?

There is only really one useful facebook app.

It's the one that tells you if the sun is burning or not.

That is the kind of information a man needs to know.

LMAO, I've added it. Best app ever, as people who'll actually find it will be the type who never look at outside. :)
