But only if you want to! Shroomhead was asking for D&B tips in the cheesebin so I thought I'd upload this mix I recorded about a month ago. It's not particularly fresh stuff because I got bored of D&B a couple of years ago and stopped buying vinyl, but I'm getting back into it now so I've been recording a few mixes.

I tend to avoid overplayed crowd-pleaser tunes, but these are all tunes that are real classics to me. I used to DJ a bit but I was never anything special, and the mixing is a bit dodgy in places but then again so is your face.

Here's the link (http://www.jilted.nildram.co.uk/what.zip). It's in a zip file because my ISP doesn't really like mp3 files. Also I think it might be over their size limit so if it vanishes that will be why. Let me know if there's a problem.

Tracklist:

artist - title [label]

00:00 Klute - Song Seller [31]
02:12 Teebee - Tsunami [Subtitles]
05:59 Teebee & Calyx - Cyclone [Moving Shadow]

11:39 Break & Hydro - Dream Sequence [Quarantine]
13:28 Silent Witness - Ringside [DSCI4]
17:28 Pish Posh - Corrupt Cops (Evol Intent remix) [Barcode]
21:51 Crossfire - Crystal Lake [Crossfire]
25:51 DJ Reality - Detroit Blues (Moving Fusion remix) [Renegade Hardware]
27:18 Raw Q - Vital Soul [Bingo]
31:19 MC Tali - District Line [Full Cycle]
34:25 Breakage - So Mars [Bassbin]
36:24 Teebee & Future Prophecies - Dimensional Entity [Subtitles]
38:40 Loxy & Keaton - Haters (Hive remix) [Renegade Hardware]
44:06 Use of Weapons - Switchblade [Droppin' Science]
I'm into various styles, but this is mostly the harder side of things.

Thanks for listening if you do!

The few times I DJed in bars and clubs my DJ name was Crispy because that's what half the people I know 'in real life' know me as anyway. DJ Splush is fine though!

Listening to it at the mo, it's pretty good. I went off D&B 5/6 years ago and haven't really listened to any since, but i'm actually really enjoying your mix.

I got bored of it a couple of years ago after being a hardcore D&B trainspotter for ages, it was getting really formulaic in both production and DJing and the people that did take risks to be original never really got rewarded for it. I still like the music every now and then but the 'scene' is boring, it used to be the most forward-thinking music in the world and now it got so bland and predictable. [/overdramatic]

Cheers for listening!

Whoah, I had downloaded this, but not actually listened to it yet. This must soon be remedied, I haven't been in a very metal mood lately anyway.

Edit: Listening now. Oh, and tagged as DJ Splush, yeah. Let's see how many recorded listeners are on last.fm yet.

Edit edit: Whoah, that was epic.

Cheers! Glad you people like it. I might do more in future, my recent ressurgence in interest in d&b led me to go and buy some new vinyl, for which my wallet is hating me.

Vinyl is so silly and cumbersome and expensive, I feel like digital DJing is probably the way forward even if nobody takes it seriously.
