If you like hi tech/geek stuff (I do) go to http://www.thinkgeek.com. Its full of hi-tech stuff and the occasional novelty or crap like that. It has caffinated everything. :) It has caffinated soap, pop more caffinated than whup-ass and stuff like that. :mush2: If you arent listenind to me, slap your self and read it again.

It has little pocket size cameras and a green laser pionter that you can see the beam of, not just the point.
:rawk: It even has mp3 players.

The green laser thingy seems great! It's a bit expensive though.. intead of five bucks for a simple red laser you have to pay about 120 :(

Yes, but they don't export caffeine out of the US.

Its because to make a green laser you need to use a diode pumped soild state laser. With the red laser pens you can just use a diode.
Its the Nd:YVO crystal for the lasing medium and KDP intracavity frequency doubler that bump up the cost for the green lasers.
(And yes I do work with lasers:D )

nice
maybe you can answer a question for me
In a school physics project two friends and I buildt an Nd:YAG laser that sent out infrared pulse light... we are going to write a report on the experiment, but we need some help when it comes to determining beam quality...
The formula for beam qualities is the waist multiplied with the divergence, right?
Is the divergence measured in radians or degrees?

I'm not sure off the top of my head, but I will check on monday when I'm actually in the office and have access to all my referance materials.

Been there, done that, and got the t-shirt :D
I've been searching for it, but I can't find my photo :/ I have the girly t-shirt with 'There's no place like 127.0.0.1' written on it :)
