It's not a serious problem, but it's a problem nonetheless.
I accidentally added a misspelled word to my FireFox dictionary. Can I take it out somehow?

Yes

If you're on Windows make sure you open it in Wordpad rather than Notepad - the latter messes up the line breaks.

since your problem seems to have been solved tom, i'm going to jack your thread
for some reason the firefox spellchecker isn't working for me at all... just doesn't even attempt to correct anything
it's turned on in the settings and i've got the right language selected but i don't know what's wrong with it
firefox version 2.0.0.4 on vista business btw
(i've tried googling but nothing of much relevence seems to come up)
(p.s sorry for any spelling mistakes in this post ;))

Midget try right clicking the field where you enter text (i.e. the reply box for threads) and ticking "Spell check this field" if it isn't already ticked.
Might seem obvious so apologies if you have already done that and my suggestion seems almost patronising but my mate complained he couldn't get it to work and that was all he hadn't done.

it doesn't have that option when i right-click :(
just undo, cut, copy, paste, delete, select all, properties and add dictionaries...
[edit]
ah, the hint was there
i just had to click add dictionaries and install the english one... for some reason they weren't already installed
cheers paul :D
