so itunes just asked me to install the latest the version, but now during installation i get this message:

i've tried quitting things like firefox, windows live messenger and the old version of itunes/quicktime, but it just gives the message again
google doesn't find anything useful
vista business btw
thanks :)
Have you tried turning it off and on again, literally? Restart then try the install.

Is it ver 7.3? Because I hear that is incredibly buggy.

It does! But lots of people have had issues with installing 7.3, when they went back to their previous version everything sorted itself out.

yeah i've read about that on the apple forums, there really are A LOT of bugs with it
apparently though, installing an older version is only a temporary fix, and for some it's stopped working again after a while
ah well, i'm not arsed, think i'm gonna start using winamp instead... it's not like i need it for my ipod anymore since i use my mobile as an mp3 player now
WIN
Btw, winamp can update an mobile AND an iPod should you want it too. Welcome to the dark side /winampfreak
