I'm looking for some sofware where you can alter the speed of a song, say, some lyrics are fast, and when it reaches the chorus, it slows down etc. Also a programme that can save music that is sped up.

Thanks in advance.

You could try Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net
Not sure if it will do the job

if it's MP3, you might need the LAME encoder.

I have always found Virtual DJ to be good, it comes with two turn tables to load mp3s and adjust speeds u can also interlace music take away backing tracks and lyrics.

I think it is jolly good all round mixing softwares

so that means you can take singing and change the background song

i.e.

bad touch lyrics on sonne background music

You want to make mashups?

If you only have the full versions of both songs you can try isolating/removing the vocals in Audacity (http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Vocal_Removal) - depending on the song, results can vary from pretty-ok-ish to sounds-like-a-car-crash.

You'll get far better results if you can find a cappella and instrumental versions of the songs you want to use. Google can help you more than I can.

Hmm, removed the words, now need to remove the music from the other.

Also, Audacity doesnt let you save in any other format apart from the Audacity format.

File > Export as [whatever]...

Yeah, I got that now :P

Just need to find out how to remove the music from the song as well as the words, I'll find out later.

VirtualDJ has some built in filters for removing instruments/vocals, can work ok sometimes.
