Bury are in the Third Division at the moment.
But they have won the F.A. Cup don't ya know? And they hold the record for the biggest ever win.
6-0 against Derby County in 1903.

Wigan Athletic!!! Champions of Div 2 and masters of the 1st Division! :D
Granted people have wised up to us now so we are having a much harder time of it but we are still in the top 5 :D
Hopefully we wont get promoted because that would be disasterous. And the amazing thing is we signed on practically no one over the summer! And the one decent lad we did get (Horsfield) is on loan to West Brom!

Sven's first day as England Manager and someone has done a big poo on the pitch. Furious he yells "Hey! Who's shit on the ground!?". Emile Heskey puts his hand up sheepishly and says "Me boss, but I'm all right in the air".
OK so it isn't about divisions but I just wanted to tell that joke.

I think that he's rubbish. He's good for one thing and that's holding the ball up the field until someone with some skill gets there. And he even messes that up. I saw him dive in one game. Ridiculous.

He does go done a bit easy. The work that he puts in for the team is amazing! but that's what midfielders are for... The thing that most p*sses me off is the fact that he has all the attributes to make him a world class player but he doesn't use them. In another country without the dodgy English press he would be amazing. That's why Milan came in for him.

I still say Leeds won't go down - been saying it since the start of the season, they're still too good to go down.
My bet is it may well be the three newcomers that return to the first division.
As for the Manchester discussion - does anyone who supports United actually live in Manchester? ;)
Its a well known fact they don't

Manchester United. Fool.
(It's also actually possible to provoke tears from him the day after they lose a match. Had a lot of fun after Middlesborough. :) )

According to most polls, Manchester is red. About 52% of people interviewed in Manchester City Centre I think (not on a United matchday before you ask), compared to 25% City. Was an M.E.N. poll I think.
Also, MMU Cultural studies dept did a study, and you're more likely to be a United season ticket holder if you live within 20 miles of Manchester than you are to be a City season ticket holder.
My rant over, guess who I support

You're more likely to be a season ticket holder becuase of the difference in capacity's. Don't get me wrong, the away Man United fans are ok (well bareable) but the home fans are exactly what Roy Keane described them as...
They are keeping touts afloat, a lot of fans go to games in suits and take clients to watch matches. They pay touts hundreds of pounds for tickets and go there not as a fan. It's cos' they're the biggest club in the country.
I think the chant "You're only here to do your shopping" sums it up nicely ;)

Yeah but within 20 miles of Manchester you have Manchester City, Blackburn, Burnley, Bolton... United have more season tickets than any of those teams. I know a few reds that live in and are from Manchester, but it's fun to wind them up.
I think about the funniest thing about United is the whole Magnier thing: Man United, NOT FOR SALE! Erm... I say chaps, Manchester United is a Public Limited Company... so it is for sale...

Well yes, I don't think that it is literal lol. It just means the fans don't want it to be sold. Obviously we Utd fans have the knowledge it can be sold - as it could happen very soon. 'We don't want you to be sold' doesn't sound as good as 'not for sale'
Indeed they do, but it does dispel the myth that nearly all of them are from Surrey!!!!!
Whenever I see City on TV, COMS is full of gaping gaps. In 1974/75 season in the old div 2, Utd average 48,000 a match - 3000 more than Liverpool averaged at the time.

My local Team is Aldershot, and they are in the conference atm, but they have been zooming up the tables, and are currently 3rd in the conference.
Aldershot used to be in the premier league, back when we had the army playing for our squad :). Which is why most of these people were doing so well in the war days, cause we lost our army, and went down :(

Hurrah - some Conference rivalry! I feel Barnet and Aldershot will meet in the play offs. I hope so anyway, as I live close to Aldershot. Though if Barnet win the league I get £20, as well as having the joy of seeing their league status rightfully returned! Bargain.

I know that they have a lot of ex liverpoo players including Keggo who is unbelievably entertaining to watch. He's so passionate about the game and it really shows in every interview and every match. Brilliant. You know he's just dying to get changed and get on the pitch!
But yes you're right we need all the help we can get. Or rather we need all the luck we can get. Every single game I have seen of late barring maybe two or three has been completely one sided in favour of City but with bad luck and poor finishing keeping down the score line. It's gutting as a fan. Stupid gypsy curse.

There was a curse at St mary's - apparently the people who built it were from portsmouth, and they buried a POmpey shirt under it. They lost quite a few of their first games (obviously due to this and not Stuart Gray). Rupert Lowe had to come in and get some witch to lift the curse.
I live in Southampton, and have a soft spot for the team (grandfather supported them), so I'd like to add - Nightcow - 2-0 and 3-0 this season :D
