My pc seems to have developed an annoying problem...sometimes when i reboot, it detects the multiplier of the cpu at 8.5x rather than the 12.5x that it should be...if i then reset, everything is back to normal...I have no multiplier settings in bios, although i have cranked up the FSB slightly (180 at the mo, rather than 166)...any ideas? Help me geeks!

My spec, btw:
Athalon 2600XP+@2.25GHz
ASRock K7S8XE Mobo
512Mb PC2700 RAM
Saphirre Radeon 9200 Graphics
WinXP Pro

Updating the BIOS is worth a try.

I tried that...running the newest version (1.80) at the mo.

mmm well thanks anyway. I can't seem to find any pattern behind why its doing it... i know its not a heat problem, everything's running cool and i'm not having any other buggy behaviour, just that. Is truly odd

apparantly AMDs dislike FSB changes, and its safer to just oc the multiplyer...
