So I try and connect to the old quakenet server due to being bored, and I get this thrown at me:
(465) :As a preventative measure against abuse, all users from *.rima-tde.net are now required to run ident (and have port 113 open). This is due to an increased amount of abuse from this host..
What does this mean, and what's it asking me to do?
Thanks. :)

Seems like some kind of indentification program. (go figure).
I hate quakenet, every time i try and connect it kicks me for not being in a specific country or something. Assholes.

Yeah they kick people from the Southern Hemisphere, but some of the servers don't, like uk.quakenet.org

Identd is built into mIRC, so that's easily fixed; just go onto the mIRC options and, under the Connect tab, go for Identd, then check "enable identd server", enter:
User ID: [Whatever]
System: UNIX
Port: 113
Check enable only when connecting and Use ID from email address.
And yes, you need to set UNIX, even on other OSes for reasons im too sleepy to go into.
You'll need to open port 113 for TCP both ways on your router/firewall, too...
The whole /gline'ing everyone from Germany thing is a more easily made mistake than you'd imagine... one too many asterisks and suddenly you've got *!*@*.de rather than *!*@host.de. I've done it myself on a different network, but thankfully it, was only Poland.

I've got a minor problem.
I've been having a hell of a time authing. I'm pretty sure I'm using the same authname and password.
On top of that, I can't find the info about authing on the Quakenet site.
