Okay, i need a new keyboard, preferably one with keys that bloody work and aren't just too small that you push two at once, i would also like it to have multimedia keys.

In my past 2 days i can say that the folowing keyboards are a no no...

Logitech MX5000
Saitek Eclipse II
Logitech G11

Help me get a new one please cordless/corded isn't a problem and it doesn't matter if it comes with a mouse.

I just got one of these:

My old keyboard was all small and flash, and completely impossible to use for typing. I find the new one comfy, and well spaced. It's only PS/2 though, which might be a dowside for you?

Dont get a microsoft multimedia one or something with F lock.
F lock becomes a pain in the ass with generally anything.
I'm told the G15 is good, while others say its gimmicky. In my experiences all i know is someone using it for spamming IM.
I've also had better compatibility with PS/2 than USB, which is sometimes a pain.

In all honesty, I've tried three or four £30+ keyboard and found them to be less than great.

I still swear by the £10-£15 branded ones from PC World or something.

Anything under a tenner seems to be trouble too.

Cheap and cheerful ftw.

I'd also say that keyboard manufacture (and this is possibly the only time you'll hear me say it) is something that Microsoft are really good at.

Their sidewinder force-feedback 1 joysticks were pretty awesome too.

Heh, the ones with the demo modes in the shop with sound effects?
I had a Sidewinder precision pro (got thrown out and run over by a large dozer), and wanted a force feedback one.
A year or so after i never got it i realised that joysticks pretty much sucked for most things, except like flight sims.
