Personally I can't stand Fraser, and I go for St. Kilda :p . But anyway my favourite player has been Robert Harvey ever since primary school and always will be (probably). Anyway hopefully Brett Ratten won't know what he's doing and the Saints will get a big enough win this weekend to get in the eight and a good enough percentage to stay there hey?

Go Richmond!....:(
We got into AFL big time while we were there, so much so that we've subscribed to setanta to watch it live over here. It's a good job I haven't managed to catch a Richmond game yet, I would've broken the tv by throwing something at it if I had.

I came close to doing the same and I don't even go for Richmond! They started so promising against Port and then lost it with bloody stupid handballs, lack of ability to cope under pressure and what can only be described as lack of coordination from some players. I was mostly watching as I knew one of the new recruits, Jack Riewoldt, anyway. But you never know you might get Sheedy now if your lucky :p although it's be exceedingly weird to watch him coaching anyone except the Bombers.

Pfffft

Copied from second paragraph right up the top:
With its only premiership in 1966 (defeating Collingwood by one point)
I would bet you actual money it was '66. In '65 we lost to Essendon.

Argh 3 percentage points away from top 8 :(
I can tell this is gonna be an agonisingly close finish what with 5 teams within 2 points of each other lingering near the 8.
I'm a West Coast Eagles fan ... though it sucks being an AFL fan over here. Although may look into the setana thing.

I want to watch Aussie Rules sometime, but I am kinda in the same boat as Dr S, although I don't have a side I support at the moment..
Good sport to play though.

It was on Sky Sports last time I went to the UK, but I think that's pay tv right?
ps Super Weebl I, without any bias of course, suggest you support St. Kilda :p

Bump.
Might as well hand the thing to Geelong now, the decisions they get are just ridiculous. Never mind how "well" they're playing, they don't have to play well with 21 men on the pitch.

For serious? I didn't catch either game this weekend but I heard from my mate there were some shocking decisions in favour of Collingwood. It was probably one of those games with bad decisions all round.
Either way you can't take anything away from Geelong, whilst I don't reckon they deserved the 9 All-Australians they've been streets ahead of any team this year. They've got a midfield only rivaled by West Coast (earlier this year) and Port Adelaide but can run the ball better than both, not to mention their extremely solid defence and effective forward line.
Anyway there's no doubt in my mind they deserve the Premiership after the season they've had, but whether they can beat the only team they've lost to in the last 5 months with the only midfield nearly as good as theirs after almost losing to the 6th place team will result in an interesting match.
So who will be watching the Grand Final? I'm stocking up on sausages already :p

I won't. Well, probably won't. I might not. Mainly because I'd spend the whole game trying to figure out which team I hated more, and I'm not sure I'd know even by the end of the game.

My brother said that, but I just can't. I felt bad enough cheering on Collingwood on Friday. Going for Geelong might just make me explode.

Well Port Adelaide are pretty much just Collingwood but in Adelaide :p so I'll be going for the Cats
