What's with the new design? I hate it. Why you ask?


Its far too americanised, as english football is as a whole these days (I am aware of the hypocracy). It's too shiney and 'dynamic'...it's not an effeciant design at all, because theres so many prettyness forced in that they can't fit as much info in....it look about 10 minutes to get through Liverpools transfers.

The new music...Requim for a Dream? A TAD over dramatic dont'ya think? I turned over to hear it along with the news that Leeds had lost their appeal...I though the world was coming to an end.

The new "This, is Sky Sports News" bloke. Most monotone and depressing voice-over EVER. Sounds like it SHOULD be "This, is Sky Sports News.....and i've lost the will to live."

I agree, it just looks wrong now. They can fit about half as much stuff on the side now, and it's all too colourful. It was better mostly white.

Nice to see i'm not just being picky.

Oh, and another thing about it....it's not even reliable. TWICE i've turned over and it's had a message stating that the design wasn't worked - and thus no information could be displayed.

Damn you Sky!

I'll reserve judgement on Soccer Saturday...maybe theres some nice redeeming features. Highly doubt it.

Hmm.

I hate to be devil's advocate and that, but I didn't think it was that bad this afternoon. I actually prefered the new blue sidebar over the old white one, as I thought the white was too stark.
The teleprinter was complete shite though, number of times I noticed mistakes like the club names ran into each other, or the scorers name was obscured. (Crystal Palace going over onto their 4th goal scorer rings a bell)
I'm sure these details can be ironed out.

In other news, I almost punched Lineker on the TV because of the whole "we've changed the MOTD music" crack. Then I realised even the BBC isn't THAT fucking stupid.
