Shall I Bring Back The Betting Shop?

I'm thinking of doing this again now I have a little time on my hands.

Would anyone be interested?

If you don't know what the Betting Shop is all about, foreshame. It is basically a glorified predicition game, but it is the glorified prediciton game. It gave birth to this very forum (in a way) and was the most successful betting thread ever! You bet on the outcome of the sporting events on offer with your allocated points, etc.

So, is it worth my while?

You could pester Weebl for a currency system that is completely seperate to reputation.

I was also thinking of having a prize each month to post to the two seperate winners. Maybe member donate crap. People would have to trust me with their address though!

we've had currency systems before and they've been removed. then again they always seem to come around full circle so you never know when they'll be back :p

nah, rupies (although you get a rupie for every positive rep) were gained through posting, and by people viewing and replying to your threads

Yes that's how you would get them but you could then donate them to other people, also admins would usually had lots of points that they could give to other people for things like this. It's a pity they are gone, there were nice ideas behind them.

Well, we'll revert to them if they ever comeback.

For now, we'll use a credits system. Everyone gets 1000 credits a month and the person with the most left and the person with the best winning percentage will be the winners. The start of the next month will put everyone back on 1000.

I am in a betting prediction league on a liverpool forum I post on. There are divisions with a set number of people in and a set number of gameweeks. Each player gets £50 to spend on the weeks premiership matches. Once the league finishes, people are promoted or relegated etc.
