Apparently Murphy was going to go to Sunderland, but then the offer was off because he wanted at least £20k a week, which tells me that we're giving him at least that for sitting on his arse.

I also hear that Defoe could be off to Blackburn, with Benni McCarthy going to Man Utd.
And then for pure comedic reasons, I'll tell you all that Spurs have been linked with Quaresma. More likely is that we'll get Morten Gamst Pedersen, which would be very nice.

That wasn't so much Deadline Day madness as "What? It was deadline day? Practically nothing happened though! Are you sure it was? Oh ok, better take your word for it".
Yeah, I was expecting to see that supposed 'big transfer' involving Ronaldsdinnerzyo - expecting to see some more exciting players than the likes of Amdy Faye join the Premier League yesterday/tonight.
Alas, the Gunners have a signing. And I'm content with that.

OK. We have a lack of defensive backup, so, naturally, we bring in Alex and Belletti. But then we get rid of two more defenders, Johnson and Diarra.
Johnson should have gone but why let Diarra go now? Especially to Arsenal.

I heard this rumour on deadline day and decided it was nothing more than a fantasy link. Like Kluivert to Sheffield Wednesday.
Well done to Hull though for managing to sell themselves to a player who still has a lot to offer.
He must have realised that money can never make up for playing standards. Something Beckham will soon realise...
