Argentina were all over them. They should've won.
Some great players on show though. Hopefully some of them can be lured to the premiership... Ayala, Tevez, Adriano, Sorin, Juan, Zanetti.

The season kicks off!
The rules are the same as before: If you correctly guess the result, you get a point. If you also get the exact scores correct, you get an additional 2 points.
Each week there will be ten games (Premiership, but others if numbers need to be made up). You will predict to get the most points. Whoever gets the most points in one week during the whole season will be crowned Premiership prediciton King (or Queen, or any other type of royalty they wish). This means anyone can enter at any point during the season, and has a chance to win. Each week I will list who currently has managed to amass the most points in one week, so you know what the target is to beat. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes (of some sort).
The first week's fixtures are from the Championship. 10 choice games for you to ponder. You have until noon on Saturday 7th August to get your predictions in.

Yeah he is too good for them. Charlton have only just signed Rommedahl though and he plays on teh right.

heh, me n you turn every threa dinto a liverpool thread :D im not even a Liverpool fan
Murphys best position is in the centre though isnt it? Charlton could use someone there i think. Someone i know from Liverpool reckons Xabi Alonso is just specualtion cos Rafa was at the Everton v Real Sociedad match. He's a bit better than Gravesen though! Rumours are that Owens contract talks have hit a snag and he could leave to a Spanish club for money+ two players. I reckon hes just trying to get the best deal he can.

Just a post to say that I'm not going to run this thread anymore. Due to work getting increasingly more hectic, I'm not on the forum as much (and my home computer is a pile of poo), so I'm finding it hard to run this thread. If anyone else wishes to take over then by all means do. I don't know if interest is fading, but I believe there were only two entries this week anyhoo.
I hope someone does take it over 'cos it has been a laugh, and I hate to leave a job half done. But alas this is the case! Damn you work for getting in the way of fun!
