I'm not sure how to feel about this, as a Utd fan... What are you're view? Do you think it's true? What are the consequences for Chelsea?

Chelsea will be hurt by this. A change of manager during a season always hurts the team, but a team of Chealseas quality should be able to bounce back.

Can anyone see Chelsea "do a Leeds"?
That's just wishful thinking from me, one of them had to go, Abramovich or Mourinho, and Mourinho was the unlucky one.
I am heartbroken, especially if he leaves the country. He's such good entertainment.
Avram Grant is set to be named the new manager.

It's a real shame, like Luna I hope he doesn't leave the country. The premiership just won't be the same without him around, and I say that as a Man Utd fan. However, also as a Utd fan, I think it's fantastic that Chelsea are losing a manager as talented as he is.

It's a real shame, like Luna I hope he doesn't leave the country.I'd say the same thing but where could he go? He'll want a Champions League team and United, Liverpool and Arsenal are all very secure with their managers.
I can see Newcastle doing away with big Sam just to get a chance at taking Jose on!
The sight of a half-full Stamford Bridge for the Champions League clash with Rosenborg on Tuesday may have been the last straw for Abramovich, who was bizarrely seen grinning from ear to ear when the Norwegians took the lead. He's also going to appoint his close friend Avram Grant as his replacement. Its just one step away from a Russian. Which makes Chelsea one step away from becoming Hearts.

Really wasn't expecting this. As much as I hate the guy, I'll miss him for his hilarious rants and the like. It's obvious that the signings of Shevchenko (moreso him) and Ballack, AND the appointment of Grant fucked up what Chelsea had going.
If we didn't have Moyes, I'd drive Jose up to Everton myself and make him sign.

Oh please god no.
We don't have fat freddie in charge of the club's cash anymore, so stupid managerial appointments probably won't happen again...

He'll turn up in charge of one of the big continental clubs in a year or so. I'd put money on barcelona since he has storng ties from his time there under Bobby Robson. He won't stay in England.
This could be disasterous for Chelsea. They won't be able to bruing in new players until January and several players will be massively upset at this news. Especially Lampard and Terry not to mention those who Jose brought in over the summer. Will Sidwell keep his place in the squad? Shame for SWP who was just pushing his way into a regular place.

Sky have said he's taking up a position in the Portuguese FA, yet other sources say he's taking over Portugal/Spurs etc... so who knows where he's going.
Avram Grant has taken over for now too... I'd give it either:
a) 2-3 weeks until Lippi joins or;
b) until November when Russia fail to qualify and Hiddink leaves Russia for Chelsea

Shocked and delighted :)
I'll miss him, I loved the Rafa-Jose rivalry. He was a character. Chelsea will hire a manager with a proved record in european cups...after all, that's what they did with Jose. The russian wants the CL. He doesn't want the Premiership. As a Liverpool fan, I say....been therem, done that...you can have it, while we scoot on to our first league title.
Madness from Chelsea. Abosute madness. They won't get a better manager, so it's a brilliant day for Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool however you look at it.
I'd say the same thing but where could he go?
Sammy Lee's walking a fine line at the moment.

Only rumour I've heard is he could be going to Spurs.
Which COULD be a good thing...
Also, if Man Utd still lose to Chelsea this weekend, then it's got to be Liverpool for the title.
Also, if Man Utd still lose to Chelsea this weekend, then it's got to be Liverpool for the title.
And Arsenal? :)
But, it's definitely a sad day for Chelsea and Premier League, English Football on a whole. He brought a breath of fresh air to a stale growing League with us and Utd always taking the Trophies, he added another dimension of competition which had been lacking for a long time.
I remember when they beat us 2-0 at Highbury in the 2nd Premiership winning season, they played like true Champions and that just truly showed what Jose Mourhinio brought to the Premier League. There's plenty of other results that stick out in my mind but - just an incredible asset to Chelse and the EPL. He'll be missed.

Arsenal are improving, but I severely doubt they'll challenge for the title this year.
Anyway, just because Mourinho's left Chelsea does not necessarily mean that he's leaving the Premiership.

Sammy Lee's walking a fine line at the moment. He wouldn't go to Bolton. Not enough money, He'd get the freedom, but he would be to tactically exposed.

It does, really. Whos he gunna take over? No way he'll take over the top 4...Spurs? Can't see it, he wants a bigger team with more transfer money to play with. He wouldn't like going to to top 4 teams expecting to lose. Not with his ego.
The main reason being that it's almost certain he's gunna take up SOME role with the portugese national team so he already knows the setup for when Big Pil leaves. He wants to be portugal manager, they want him, it WILL happen.

To be honest I wasn't being entirely serious. I can still dream.
Although maybe we should just cut our loses and go for Capello or Lippi.

Personaly i'd like to see the F.A. sack Macwank and give Jose the England job. It's a big loss for Chelsea though, he may have pissed alot of people off but there is no denying he is a great manager. Even more annoying is the fact that Abramovic cancelled his business trip and his over sized, pain in the arse, Boeing 767 is stuck on the bloody ramp at Luton, taking up space I desperately need to park all the other sodding planes we keep getting.

I'd love to see Jose in charge of England but I doubt it'll happen. I don't think he'd be interested although I have no doubt he'd be successful.
Portugese national team is a good bid although I still think he'd just be biding his time until Barca/Madrid/Milan came calling. Or until Abramovic goes crawling back.

Hopefully he never comes back to this country, apart from to get beat badly.
