Mr Qwerty, Che (who is definitely a girl Ozzy :p) and I met on these very forums when she was an American Studies student at Swansea Uni and was in California for a year and I was in Swansea. I groomed romanced her from afar and after a bit of rockiness etc we got together properly 4 years ago.

The engagement happened in Gain Carlos (excellent italian) in Birmingham. I took hold of her hands over the table (just before dessert) and said "Will you marry me". Cynical Che tried to call my bluff by saying yes and after a couple of seconds worked out that this wasn't some crazy gambit but me actually popping the question! She then said yes properly. We don't have a ring yet but as soon as we do I will be getting down on one knee and doing it properly (although at my age that could end in a trip to hospital and a hip replacement op.)
