Searched and found nothing about this

Basically reaper is a comedy/drama based around Sam oliver 21 year old slacker who still lives with his parents. He has always wondered why his parents are so easy on him but always so harsh on his younger brother. On his 21st birthday he starts to see these visions and his parents are acting odd. He finds out that years before he was born, his parents sold his soul to the devil. Basically the devil now uses Sam as a bounty hunter, tracking down escaped souls from hell

The pilot was directed by Kevin smith and has a strong clerks/star wars vibe about it

I found it great and will continue on watching it

The wiki plot synopsis is genius, very interested, I'm -unsuccessfully- trying to check out the pilot now.

Apparently it's going to be on E4 so I'll watch it then but it sounds interesting.

Pilot is loading fuck slow, but so far yes, this is an awesome show.

Little things you wouldn't catch happen in the show, like "Don't fear the reaper" plays in the background of the store.

I think this is a nice touch.

So far im loving the vessels: the dirt devil and remote controlled car.

I just hope the show continues to be this good

I'll be watching it on E4+1 (my mum watches Torchwood :(). I don't know a lot about it except the premise and that Kevin Smith is directing, but that's enough for me :p

Yet another program with a Canadian co-star. We're infiltrating Hollywood one guy at a time...

And the fact that the lead actor is from the Pacific Northwest makes him "practically" Canadian - we generally don't hold it against Washingtonians/Oregonians for being born on the wrong side of the border ;)

C'mon Kevin - more Clerks, less Jersey Girl and we'll have a winner on our hands. Someone said it's the new Buffy but surely it's got to be more like My Name is Earl?

I'll wait and see :)

it's not the new buffy.
it's not really the new my name is earl either, but that's far closer.

I'd have called it a bit more Dead Like Me than buffy.

I dunno, it's got that kind of humour to it.

well I just watched the first episode on e4+1 (having not watched it online or anything).

I quite liked it.
I think the way they've done the devil is good, with him being sort of cool/funny, but then with reminders of the fact that he's, well, evil.
I can imagine that'll get old after a while though, since I noticed they had those reminders every conversation (or maybe they'll lay off it once they think the audience will have gotten the picture, but I doubt it).

Reminds me of the buddy pairing of High Fidelity (honestly that guy IS the new Jack Black) but with a devil twist.

It's (mostly) by the books but it's the best thing Smith has done in a long time,

I thought it was good, not the most original concept but an enjoyable little show. I like the guy from Invasion, he's pretty funny.

Meh, it was alright. Not sure I like half of how the concept is being pulled off, but it's only the pilot, it's never a good idea to judge a comedy by the pilot.

I liked it, though it was misleading in saying Kevin Smith directed the whole series when he just did the pilot.

I like the way there are minor characters from other series scattered about in it too: guy from Invasion, gal from Heroes.

Liked it - will happily watch the rest. It was quite a lot like Buffy though, but in a good way.
