Did anyone else watch this last night? Before it, I couldn't stand him, I thought he was a retarded little axe-wound, but he's actually quite funny.
Do you own a concorde? Do you know where the keys to your concorde are? A small child could get them and get into your concorde. Imagine all the menace he could do!
Yeah I didn't mind it, it's watchable and I'll put it on again if it's on, I'm not actively waiting for another episode.
I'm one of the few people who thinks he's genuinely quite entertaining.

Likewise. It was alright, but not the funniest stuff I've ever seen. He can be entertaining - like tonight - but in other instances, like his slot on Radio 2, he's just awful. But yeah, last night was good. :)

Going off the point of the thread here ( sorry), but I think his Radio2 show is a bit of a grower. Yes, it has embarrassing silences and it feels pained at times but when you listen to it regularly you actually find yourself giggling (you won't realise it yourself, untill others say), and all this is coming from a girl who thinks he's a bit of a twat. :P

I liked it, better than usual.

I personally love Russel Brand and more or less everything he does.
I found myself laughing out loud at this much more than at pretty much every 'sitcom' currently on TV. (exept maybe 'the IT crowd)
In terms of his Radio show and Podcast i think it is easily much funnyer than Chris Moyles or Scott Mills. Last weeks episode with Noel Fielding was brilliant.
Ill be tuning in next week.

It wasn't very good.
His rantings to the audience were patently scripted, and he's not very good at off the cuff comments either, and seems easily flustered when he gets something wrong.
I won't be tuning in next week.

It's actually an episode a day for this week. Except Saturday, and then it finishes. Tonight it's 'Science and Modern Technology.'
Watched it tonight, barely stopped laughing.

Russell Brand is a very particular brand of comedy, you'll only really enjoy it if you understand it. Same goes for QI and bill bailey.

Well, duh, it's a stand-up routine.
I loved it, personally. Then again I am a self-confessed fan.

It amuses me.
I like the randomness and archaic atmosphere he brings. I saw the adverts for the show and it just doesn't seem to have the same effect on me on tv as it does on the radio. Maybe its a visual thing. I can create more images in my mind while not having to concentrate on watching at the same time.

His Radio 2 show is the only thing worth listening to on Terrestial radio. Fact. Anyway the show is awesome, and is much more akin to his radio and standup work (was on Radio6 yonks ago) allowing for his wildly meandering thoughts to blossom. I still find him a very irratating as a presenter, he is moving away from that thank god.
Has anyone else noted the weird squinting he does after jokes? He looks retarded when he does. But yeah watch.

I think the case with almost everyone in terms of there opinions of Russel is:
At first they think hes a twat from the way he dresses, his big hair and the way he is portrayed in the media.
They then watch one of his programmes or listen to one of his radio shows and instantly love his style and find him very funny
They eventually start actually liking him as a person aswell.
Hes a grower is our Russ.

Thanks for that inciteful comment there.
Clearly I meant that it was obvious he was reading it off the autocue on several occasions, sarky git.

I'm looking forward to The Goth Detectives coming back for The Big Fat Quiz of The Year in yuletidemonth. Together they are much more humourous.

I watched it for the first time last night. I didn't think much of it at first, probably because of the scriptedness of it. I'd only seen Russel previously on Big Brother's Big Mouth, and on part of that quiz thing he did, both of which seemed a more like they were being made up as they went along. Anyway, by the end of Ponderland I found myself laughing at it. I don't think it was properly awesome though, and I can't see me making a point of tuning in next time.

His crack at Northerners made me ¬_¬.
Granted I don't speak like that, but it was still aimed at Northerners in general.

His joke about Northeners was funny. I couldn't stop laughing last night so I'll definitely watch it tonight.

Lies! I  all of Radio2 (yes I'm sad like that), even when they have the what sounds like organ music hour. :p 6music though (and xfm to a lesser extent) I must admit is rather yay. :)

I watched it mostly because the Karl Pilkington show was on after it but I found it quite funny, the grain pit bit was probably the best part. I don't really like they are showing it every day though, there is usually stuff clashing with it.

don't be such a Northerner about it.

Last night's episode was crap. The only decent part was Brand talking about the TV licensing van at the beginning. Tonight he's pondering school sports days. Cue fat kid jokes/rants.
