some guy tried to mug my uncle (who is in a wheelchair) today at a cash point but didn't anticipate a 68 year old man (uncle's dad, my grandad) grabbing him in a headlock, throwing him to the ground and holding him there until the police came
the twat even had to cheek to tell the police he wanted to press charges against my grandad... "oh yes, i was just robbing a disabled person and some guy attacked me for no reason"
anyway he's been arrested and my grandad has got a video interview today to help get him put down... apparently he's wanted around the manchester and blackpool areas for mugging so it doesn't look like he's getting away with this
the police officers who came were well impressed too
justice is served... by an old man :p

Wow. My grandad did something similar once. He beat this mugger guy with his walking stick. Grandparents are awesome.

yeah, people are twats
it isn't the first time he's been mugged in his wheelchair... he was in the town centre once and he put his phone on his lap and some twat snatched it and ran off

As if some one would do that.
...and someone snatching his phone too, who does that? Honestly...
Good on your Granddad though.

Aww. Grandads rock dont they
Im gonna sound like an old person now but people dont have any respect for them these days. I watched Saving Private Ryan the other day and it really upset me (like it always does) and i made the hour journey to go and visit my 88 year old grandad the next day cos i felt really guilty and sad that he's on his own :p
My grandad was held as a prisoner of war in Siberia and then he fought for the english (he's russian) and was on the autillary - shooting down planes with those big ass guns. So im proud of my grand-daddy too, bless him.
Here's a pic of my grandpa in his 20's and one of him in his 80's. Quite sad if you think about it :(

it is great to see someone caring, your right, there is barely n e respect these days, people actually go out of their way to make life hard for them, and for what? i dont understand, they should not get shouted at on the street, its really sad about what my grandparents have to put up with

If you think about what some of these 80 year old men saw back in the war :( My grandad doesnt talk about it cos he gets upset sometimes, but then you have some old people who love talking about the war :p
Ok fair do's, the guys in iraq/afganistan have seem some fucked up things (even though its not a proper war  ), but im pretty sure its not half as bad as what it was like in the 1940's on the front line.

Watch Band of Brothers. They have interviews with (some of) the men who are the cahracters of the show, and the raw emotion of it is barely contained. What I find particularly interesting about it is that these men who've had to deal with some quite frankly fucked up stuff are much closer to their emotions than a lot of young men nowadays.

I LOVE Band Of Brothers. It makes you really really respect those who have been there and seen what we will never see.
It always makes me cry, it's such a powerful thing to have been through.
And yeah when you watch the people who were actually there being interviewed, thats it. Im done. Blubbering like a baby.
You're grandad is friggin AWESOME Midget ^_^ I expect most of us all love our Grandads and think they rock ^^ xxx

My great-uncle was pretty awesome too... he was an ambulance driver in the second world war, and he came home really freaked out because he saw such horrible things... I'm sure all of us have got a lot of respect for old people like our grandads etc, shame not everyone is the same.

My Mum's Dad fought in WW2. He was part of the force that liberated a concentration camp. Unsuprisingly he would never talk about it.

lol, unintentional I hope.
I think half of the awesomeness of grandparents is that nobody expects them to do anything.
Shame they aren't all like that. Theres a lady who comes into the shop every Wednesday and walks round stealing things. Its really hard to tell and old person to get out of the shop :(.

Congratulations to your Midget Grandpa!
I was told that if anybody mugs you, just talk to them a lot. In the end, they'll just get fed up and leave. Either that or stab you...I can never remember which.

My grandpa (Who is italian and lives in rome) was in an internment camp in Germany in 1941 for 4 years until the Canadians came and saved him
He is pretty cool, he once met nikita khruschev and showed him around the countryside near rome
now he is a writer, he writes books on gardens and roses

The only interesting thing about my grandad is that he seems to have a pair of trousers for every occasion.
"Would anyone like a cup of tea?"
"Yeah sure, that would be great"
"Alright then, I just have to change my trousers first"
Actually, he hardly ever offers to make tea, but the trouser fact still stands.
My grandma sang the gangbang song in public once. She not mental or anything, I think she deemed it appropriate for the occasion.
