Any of you guys play Psychonauts? One of the best damn platforms I've played on the Xbox. Tim Schafer's also responsible for the Monkey Island games, Day of the Tentacle or something like that, and I think some of those other classic and completely awesome point-and-click games that are great to play even today. For the past few years since Psychonauts disappointing release (disappointing in sales, not game), I've always figured Double-Fine and Tim Schafer fell off into obscurity. But in a magazine I got from my game store a few weeks ago (dunno if you guys have the same magazine or whatever), I found out that Tim Schafer and Double-Fine are working on a new game, something like a combat game with some group tactics. There's a heavy emphasis on rock and metal music with numerous voices and exclusive music directly from various rock legends themselves. And the guy they have as the main character is none other than Jack Black, the guy that's starred in the movies "School of Rock" and "Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny", real heavy into rock music himself. They appear to be very far into making the game, called Brütal Legend, and I would imagine the whole thing would be finished in about half a year, most likely for the 360. I'll try finding a few screenshots of the game, but my comp's acting up now so no pics today.
