So I'm looking into building a new PC (my current trusty one has lasted 4.5 years so far), and on the spec for the motherboard I've chosen it says:
Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.8 Volt DDR2 SDRAM
And the RAM I've chosen says:
Supply Voltage 2.1 V
I've had a look around and the voltage for RAM seems to vary ever so slightly by make/model, but does it really matter? If it was an issue, wouldn't there be some industry standard?
The RAM I've chosen is compatible with the motherboard. Its just the fact that the motherboard spec mentions a specific voltage.
Edit: Aaaand I've just realised I posted this in the wrong place. Can a mod move it to Techy Bollocks please? :D
