Overview pls.
In your profile there is a link so that people may leave you usernotes. Currently only the forum ninjas can do this. Everyone can read.
Once upon a time they were solely for Ninjas and people used the notes to bitch about users behind their backs. Along with this, Ninjas could edit other people's usernotes, making it seem that one person said something mean when they may not have. This was a double whammy of suck.
Somewhere around the start of November '07 I lifted the iron curtain surrounding usernotes, making them viewable by all. Ninjas are still the only people able to leave usernotes, but they are no longer able to edit them. If you want to leave a usernote you should have the balls (or ovaries) to do so with your name attached.
Ninjas will always have the edge over "normal" users. They get to see our toons first, work in progress, new merchandise and more. There is a small fee to become a Ninja, we put that into a "keep the site running" fund. Think of it like a donation with perks.
How I get usernotes?
If someone wants to leave you one, they will. There is no magic behind it. It's like a PM that isn't P. Where P=Private and M=Message. Yeah, it's a bit like algebra, so what?
Oh no someone left me a usernote I don't like
If it is just something like "This user smells of poo" We don't care. If someone harasses you, posts vulgar images, links, etc - send me a PM and I will deal with it. This only applies to usernotes left after the date of this FAQ.
I want to leave usernotes for someone - How?
Become a forum ninja - visit the subscription section in your profile and make a donation. If you are already a ninja, visit the users profile and click the link.
