Ska is definately up there on my list of favorite music genres, however I'll listen to just about any offshoot of rock (bar heavy metal, i loath heavy metal). But just to give you all an idea of just how sporadic this 'list' of mine can be, a few selections of which are: Reel Big Fish, The Beatles, Dredg, Nine Inch Nails, The Pillows, Guster, and Radiohead.

I'm not very knowledgeable on ska, but I do enjoy the occasional dose of it. Does anyone know any SUPER AWESOME SKA BANDS? Besides the givens like Less than Jake, Five Iron Frenzy, Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, and such. I enjoy those bands to certain extents, some more than others.

well. there are a few.

such as:

operation ivy (really hard to find some of their albums!!!)

and right now, some rancid, and some NOFX.

and also, to add more comments, i enjoy the ska moosic very very much, but for the past year... or so, i've been into more punk such as

misfite, nofx, rancid, casualties, distillers, anti-flag, dropkicks, black flag, afi, hmmm...

the names will come to me some other time, but at the moment, that''s all i got.

I would definitely recommend Mad Caddies. They play some Ska, but they also have some Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Sea Shanty, and Dixie influences, though they're mainly rooted in Punk. Very diverse sound, and the tightest live band I have ever seen!!!

I also recommend a good bit of Sublime.

you won't find their records outside of france.
