which i only watched relatively recently, having previously written it off as being another shitty comedy

it was really, truly great. it was pretty much the perfect blend of ha has and sobriety and humanity and that delicious wes anderson cinematography. the best film i have seen for ***space of time***, everyone needs to see it

Hadn't seen Royal Ts or Life Aquatic, so it was a bit of a culture shock for me. Certainly interesting, a good and thoughful story, and excellent casting. As to whether I'll be rushing out to get his other stuff on DVD, I'm not sure...

I'm going to see this with mah bird tomorrow night, looking forward to it. Better be good; I missed seeing Los Olvidados and Control to see this. Trailer looked good though! And good reviews so far!
