Tony Hawks: Proving Ground

now I've heard alot of reviews saying this game doesn't match Skate, however I haven't got skate and all I know is this is a really good Tony Hawks game, after a disapointing Prodject 8 and Wastelands (THUG2 is the only one I've never played) I think this game is back to its best.

Has anyone else got this ? If so how much better is SKATE ?

So far, I've loved all the DS versions, to the point where I think they could be two of the best games on DS, but due to financial problems (Buying a £500 television) it doesn't look too likely I'll be getting the new one anytime soon.

I really love Skate but I haven't played Proving Ground, or any Tony Hawk game since THPS4, so I suppose that's not very useful. You could try the demo of skate (if you have an appropriate console, I dunno what platforms it's available for) and see for yourself but there's quite a learning curve on skate and you have to endure at least an hour of being terrible at it before it gets fun.

I've played a demo of Skate, and it just seems to be totally different in the way that it so much more realistic (i.e. difficult) compared to the Tony Hawks series...

First I played the skate demo - awesome - so when the Tony Hawk's demo came out I thought I would give it a try... I spent about 20 seconds on it. Yeah, once you go skate you never go back.

Skate Is amazingly Good.

Proving Ground is Pretty good But doesn't compare to Skate.

Skate = 92%
Proving Ground = 89%

Thats how I compare them.

when i first saw skate i thought it was going to be cheap rip off. I haven't played it but i'm a great fan of tony hawk so I would hope TH would be better.

As i do not have a PS3 or 360 i bought the PS2 version

my opinion on the PS2 version: BOLLOCKS.

Frame rate sucks, graphics all chappy, didnt get the stuff i was looking forward too (video editor etc.)

disappointing. wish i had a PS3 or 360 now..
