I'm liberal in most things. Except for the aspect of abortion...but then I think it's all right to do if you were raped or something. Anyway, yeah, I'm basically liberal.

also, the idea of liberals vs conservatives may not be clear to many of us, as we're all from different countries.

you may want to give us some information to start with.

I'm not a conservative, but the party in my country that calls themselves liberal, are right wing as well...
I voted for the socialist party last time...

shouldn't the abortion thing be a separate thread?

All politicians are liars, i refuse to vote for that one reason, the only time i did vote it was for the green party, despite the fact that they'll never get in and couldn't run a country

I agree. I've taken the test that pod has mentioned, actually.

I'm rather far into the third quadrant: liberal, nearly communist economics and bordering on anarchy. Oi.

I'm a little liberal and a little to the left...I'm quite close to the center, I have no idea what all that means though. I know what I believe, that's my politics so what does it matter the titles I suppose.

I was right there on the other side of the horizontal axis, what's that mean in terms of difference?

Those last two are rather near where Jean Chretien of Canada is. Which is pretty much where I am.

whoah!

i wondered if the war in Iraq II had had an affect on my politics. it seems so. last time i took this test i was quite a bit more authoritarian (north) and less liberal but now i'm well over into the south-west corner of things.

and i rather like the view from here.

vive!

it dosnt really matter. Imagine a small circle about 5 squares radius. Those people are "normal" outside of that people can start to be considered "extreme" :)

So, I'm extreme, eh?

Though, I don't go to protests and stuff like that. Extremism is more about how zealously you believe in what you believe in, acting on your beliefs, than your beliefs themselves.

hehe

I turned out like this (http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/questionnaire.pl?page=printable_graph&X=-7.25&Y=-6.82)

were almost the same

and I think extreme is in the eye of the beholder

an american would probably call me extreme

In norway I'm not extreme at all

got plenty of people far more to the left wing than me...

i consider extreme to be beyond reason...

you can be on every part of that diagram, but if you fail to listen to reason, you could be an extremist...

We have more to fear from the average citizen with average morals, but who doesn't ever question anything he hears, reads, says or does.

True.

But something in the middle of the chart implies that you listen to everything, you have mixed views.

I tend to listen and consider points of view, at least I like to think I do.
