Power Metaaaal!!

Hey everyone! this post is about music. Id just like to know what sort of music people in the forums listen to. I myself am a conoisseur of the fine genre of power metal.

Yes, you may laugh (everyone does) but really power metal in my opinion is the ultimate genre

What does everyone else think?

Oh, also give a few examples (bout 5) of your favourite bands, singers etc.

Mine are as follows: 1/Stratovarius, 2/Nightwish, 3/Heavenly, 4/Dragonforce, 5/Secret Sphere (no particular order, and ive missed out a few)

I like loads of different stuff like Coldplay, The Coral, Craig David, Linkin Park, Lostprophets, Jay-Z, Eminem, 50 Cent, Oasis, Prodigy, etc

I like a great variety of music, from Classical orchestra music right down to the heaviest metal there ever was.

There's a few gaps in the middle. I dislike most dance, pop and rap music, mainly because it's relatively talentless and
more-often-than-not made by a big grinding machine deep in the basement of a record
company headquarters. Surrounded by laughing imps.

Favourite band right now is The Haunted

Favourite band of all time is Iron Maiden

The first two Pantera albums were great.....very funny.....they were 'power metal' .... before Phil was in the band and they all had long hair and wore spandex. Those albums are pretty hard to find but I have a mate who found copies when he was over in the US. It's quite astonishing how many people I've come across who swear to be the biggest Pantera fans and yet haven't a clue about those two albums.

PS the fact you included nu metal and heavy metal as the same choice makes me sad :nana: therefore I am not voting on the poll.

Yeah, i went to dragonforce! They were great, but imo heavenly were actually better. Their vocalist can really sing!

To Anown: Sweden rock looks like its gonna be amasing. Theres heavenly, nightwish, children of bodom and the list goes on! If it wasnt in the middle of my exams i'd probably fly to sweden especially for it ;)
