I imagine being an international manager isn't all that exciting. You spend a lot of time just watching and waiting for the next match.

Can't really say I'm surprised.

Big 'fuck you' to Eck for this one. I wouldn't have minded so much if it had been a better Premiership team but Birmingham aren't exactly tip of the tops now are they?

Yeash guys. He revived your nation in international football...but now he's suddenly a dickhead. Bit fickle guys...
Surely he should be abit of a legend - he's done your World Cup chances a world of good, and gave you some really memorable nights....he just wants to do what he loves, managing, more than a few weeks a year. Give the guy a break.

He did carry on the Scottish international football resurgence that Walter Smith started, and I'm grateful for that.
It's just that that's two managers who have cut and run as soon as they were given another offer, which is a bit annoying. Especially since I could've sworn the SFA said McLeish was committed 'til 2010 at least, securely...
I'm not calling him any rude names; I'm just saddened he won't be leading the charge to 2010.

Hey, I am a supporter of McLeish's effectiveness more than most as a Rangers fan too, but I still think this is really, really annoying. With Walter Smith leaving I could understand as he was a Rangers man through and through and he knew McLeish would be there to replace him... but who's here to replace Eck?
I wouldn't even mind if it had been a GOOD Premiership team - surely he realises he's probably destined for the Championship?

Somehow, I doubt it is the much publicised "wanting to get back into club management" that made him go to Birmingham. No, it's this certain other thing, called money. He's just being greedy if you ask me. Being paid 4 times the wages to fight bravely against relegation, then walk out/get sacked if/when they do, and walk into any other club in the summer.

I'm embaressed that he'd choose a shitty Premiership team over a proud nation like Scotland.
But you do have lots of promising bosses in the SPL and floating about, unlike England. So I'd say you were in a muhc better position.
