Hi, I don't post here very often but I thought I would see if anyone could help me out.

I am part of a gaming club, I would like to write a small program that will allow us to easily compare results and calculate rankings based on various things. There shouldn't be any complicated coding involved but I need to make a program that is very easy to use.

Unfortunately although I have used various programming languages (Fortran, C++, python) for a few years as part of my job it was all in calculating numerical integrals and minimization techniques. I have virtually no experience on using anything graphical or making a program which other people can easily use!

So what I want to do:
Have a single .exe file that can be double clicked on in windows XP to install.
The program needs to be able to read in a .xml or .txt file
You then need to be able to change a few settings and press run.
The program will print out the results in a .xml or .txt file.

I am hoping that it is possible to download some sort of template or similar that will allow me to easily create a program like this. Does anyone have any suggestions as a good place to start. If such things exsist but it costs to buy a license I would be prepared to pay upto £50.
