Will activision be able to stop him? Since blizzard didn't.

Holy hell. I always thought Blizzard didn't like working for any company other than themselves. I know they made a Starcraft game on the N64, but that was their only attempt at a console game, and what I heard is that it left a bad taste in their mouths. But to go so far as to team up with Activision? That's unexpected. Just came outta nowhere.
