So yeah, a while ago, I was offered the opportunity to download FireFox, and I though 'hey, there must be some reason for all that techy-love'.
Anyways, so so far, it seems pretty good, downloaded a few plug-ins, got a new theme, is nice.
The other day though, I downloaded the 'DownLoadHelper 2.5.1'. Now, this struck me as a particularly good idea, and the opportunity to download all manner of YouTube vids made me that little bit moist.
Unfortunately though, the videos seem to download in FLV format, and I was wondering if any of you knew of any free FLV- converting programmes. If so, it would be gradely, and much appreciated and repped.
Also what's with all this 'SeaMonkey' 'FireBird' and 'SunBird' shizzle on the FireFox site? Just the same thing with the same name??

Riva FLV encoder - link (http://dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&siteId=4&oId=3000-2140_4-10381392&ontId=2140_4&spi=9789e38b83f96880bde51edac05276d8&lop=link&tag=tdw_dltext&ltype=dl_dlnow&pid=10381392&mfgId=6262579&merId=6262579&destUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.download.com%2F3001-2140_4-10381392.html%3Fspi%3D9789e38b83f96880bde51edac052 76d8)
or
SUPER - link (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html)

FLV encoder will only do to .mpeg files, whereas SUPER will do to heaps of formats.

The super site is a bit confusing, but the download link is at the bottom on one of the pages.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can watch FLV files using VLC player, without having to convert them at all.

or you install CCCP which includes ffdshow so you can watch FLV in media player and other players that use the directx filters for decoding (media player classic?)

Pretty much with this pack you can play almost any video format.
