Formatting...

So I was wondering how I can format my hard drive as I want to delete everything and start on a fresh OS but I don't have a clue about partitioning etc. I think I've just got one partition thing and that's my current OS. I've looked at the format option when you right click on the C drive but I don't see how I could format it when I'm using the OS at the same time. Thanks in advance :/

afaik windows deletes everything recursively (and that's just something i remember timmeh telling me after i fucked this up) so it won't have any trouble doing that

Yeah half of my hard drive is empty (60gb). So I just delete everything then reboot the pc with an OS disk in?

no need to delete everything. It will guide you through all that when you put the disk in :)

Ahh yeah thanks, running on Vista now with all of the crap gone :D
