I have a strange filetype which is called .drg. I need a way to put it on my ipod while keeping all the sound as good quality as possible but I can't seem to find a converter that supports the .drg. The best file I could convert it to is a .wav because apparently .mp3 screws up the quality.
Basicly my question is, is it even possible to convert an extension as rare as that into a common one?

Why not convert to .wav, then convert that to mp3?

I tried that but then it didn't play anything. Its possible that I did something wrong in the process but I wouldn't be able to tell what I did.

Doesn't an Ipod allow MP4 aswell? If so couldn't you just convert it to that?
