So, basically, I want to learn how to edit web page scripts, such as editing something on another forum I'm on, such as replacing 'Gender' with 'Sex'

So, if anyone can teach me or if anyone has any tips, please share them here! :)

http://www.w3schools.com/

Get learning. :)

On a forum, the actual output html will either be written around a backend language (php, asp, etc) or stored in a database, so you'll need to figure out which. :)

What type of forum are they running? vBulletin, SMF, phpBB or IPB?

PHP or MySQL I think
PHP is a language and MySQL is a brand of database software (see www.php.net and www.mysql.com)

yeah it'll be coded in php but it'll probably be one of the one's stig mentioned, try looking at the bottom of the forum and it'll tell you (e.g this one is vBulletin)

edit: bah, beaten by a minute

It's debatable whether Shakespeare ever wrote his own stories. But that's not for this thread :p
