As a gamer, I feel ashamed admitting this but recently I've bought two games for my iPod, Phase and Peggle.

Phase is a Guitar Hero-esk game by Harmonix where you can play with your own songs. I was pretty impressed by the sound of it so I decided to give it a try. I was pretty disappointed, I knew that it wouldn't be able to automatically create a great pattern to follow for each song but from the reviews it seemed like most of the time the songs synced up well with the patterns the game created. I tried it with 10 tracks and so far none of them make any sense in relation to the music. The control is also very fiddley and its just not very exciting to play (probably because it just has no relation to the song).

Peggle for iPod however is perfect. Its an exact port of the PC version and looks absolutely fantastic. <3 Peggle.

Have any of you guys tried out any iPod gaming? Have you found any good ones and is this going to be the next big thing? Should I feel so ashamed?

Peggle sounds perfect, although I have some reservations about screen size. I've been temped to check out Phase too, this is definitely the sort of thing I'd like to play on an ipod, rather than stuff like Tetris just crammed on there. I read today that Sonic the Hedgehog is coming out for ipod and that sounds sounds terrible.

I am quite interested in peggle, but i've avoided playing any games on my ipod due to it sapping the battery down quickly.

I thought about getting games for my iPod once. Peggle and... that game with the coloured crystals that you switch around to make lines interested me.

EDIT BEFORE I EVEN POSTED SO NOT REALLY AN EDIT BUT I FEEL LIKE SAYING IT IS: Bejewelled, that's it.

You can get Zuma for 5.5g's, and Zuma is awesome. There's also Bomberman but I don't know how that could be playable at all on an ipod. Anyway I think I will give myself Peggle and Zuma for christmas :trex:

It's on the store now. If it's anything like the mobile phone version it'll run at about 1fps.

Certainly considering getting Peggle and Phase i must say.

tetris is good, but peggle is the best.
phase is alright, but i like to play games while listening to podcasts, so it doesn't get much use from me.
