We are making a movie for a school project, and we need some software to make good looking titles. No, in this case Windows Moviemaker isn't good enough. It's an incredible actionmovie (yes, lasers and robots included), so it would be nice if anyone could recommend a program.
Is Adobe After Effects (the new one) any good?

If you have a Mac and a sizeable budget then Final Cut Pro does well, so I'm informed.

iMovie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imovie) - For Mac, comes with it, is apparently quite good.
Sony Vegas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Vegas) - Friend uses it for all his videos, apparently very easy to use compared to Premiere
Adobe Premiere (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Premiere_Pro) - Expensive, apparently good, but i think a steep learning curve

Vegas is very good when it comes to creating moving titles; you can move and rotate an image or block of text in 3D space fairly easily. It's hidden in the menus somewhere.

Vegas seems to be pretty good!
Just trying to figure out how the title-things work.
