Hey, last year Thomp made a game on Football Manager 2007 including all us W-S guys, but unfortunately he got bored of it and never put up the database.
Now I love playing Footy Manager 2008, and I wondered if you'd be interested in me running another game like it in 2008.
What information I'd need would be:
Name
Age
Nationality
Favourite Club
Height/Weight
Top 5 Attributes
Worst 5 Attributes
And I don't know which team to use, so I'll do a poll
edit - oh shit I forgot:
Position -

Worst 5 Attributes: Penalty Taking, Tackling, Stamina, Heading, Flair
EDIT: Linky (http://forums.weebls-stuff.com/showthread.php?t=59490) to Thomp's original thread in case people want to have a butchers and see it in practice.
EDIT2: I figured you left out position cos you didn't want 20 strikers and no other positions filled but if you're letting us choose I guess I'll take GK, not really preferred but probably best given my strengths and weaknesses.

Just finished you lot. Need a striker and some more for squad depth.
I don't know whether to go game by game, or go on holiday till around the real date. Then go game by game in real time. So it doesn't become too dull and monotonous.

Well, you know how to do screenshots now.
I think we should have a shortlist of names for our team, though. Dynamos sounds a bit dull, if you don't mind me saying.
How about Pie-Eaters? We are only starting off in the Conference...

Blue-Square Premiership it's called now :p
Well if there is a massive group of people who don't like Dynamos, then I could change it, but I don't want something too obscure, its hard enough being the only hyphenated team in the English playable leagues, without having a silly name to boot. Other managers will take the piss out of us :p
Also, there isn't a screeshot folder. Do I have to make a folder titled screenshot, the same way I did with graphics?
edit- oh dear, sorry Littleshore and evil-flagpole. I forgot to copy and paste your top5 and worst5 into the Notepad document I was working from, so I just made yours up. If I go back into editor I'll try to remember to change it. Its such a computer-killer though.

http://i19.tinypic.com/81ge880.png
And as I had to start the game again, the friendlies have changed. First up is Liverpool Reserves at The Cathedral Stadium. Followed by home games by (zomg why the hell are they coming here) Marseilles and Roma.
I'll play the Liverpool friendly, then go revise. Then do some more tonight. Thanks to whoever rated this 5star btw :) might gain a little interest.
edit
In a tightly contested game, The Badgers, against the odds came on top in a 1-0 victory against Liverpool Reserves, the most noteable moments being the goal, the last ditch challenge from Knights, and one dazzling run from Sebastian Leto, who was only denied by the post.
After the match manager Jacob Mitchell had this to say.
"I'm proud of the lads, but lets not get carried away, all I did was tell the lads to enjoy themselves, and I'm sure Mr Benitez said the same to his boys. I was pleased with Matty C today, the young 'un really held his own against some players who come from one of Englands best Academies, as well as a first teamer or two. I'm also pleased that a few of our lot got to play against some of their heros, there's quite a big Liverpool supporting contingent here.

Lol, Steve Irwin?
And woo, a 7.
That will suit me fine.
What formation are we playing?
Mr stabby
08-01-2008, 09:11 PM
In what was billed as a Marseille whitewash, a plucky Weebls-Stuff side put up a bit of a fight in their 4-2 loss at the hands of their French opponents.
Going into half time 3-0 down, no thanks to a Steve Smith Own Goal, we were expecting more of the same in the second half, but with the introduction of Numbers and Mitchell at half time, and a good team talk from the manager, Two goals from Mitchell and a goalkeeping masterclass from Numbers were enough to win the battle of the second half, if not the war.
"Some teams will face heavier defeats in the league season, so a 4-2 loss to a top European side is a very good achievement indeed from the lads, going with a 4-5-1 formation seemed to block out the opposition a little, and this is one thing I am considering for the season ahead.
http://i13.tinypic.com/6tdb59z.png
I realllly must go revise now. Maybe one more game later tonight.
And in The Badgers third game of the season, it finished 1-1 at home to Leeds United. The cash strapped Yorkshire men were behind at The Cathedral Stadium till an 81st minute Flo equaliser cancelled out winger Jake Johnson's 13th minute opener.
http://i16.tinypic.com/7wh23w7.png
"The players were shattered today. We have a good team, but 3 games in 5 days, against much bigger opposition will take the legs out of anyone."
The next run of games sees Weebls-Stuff Dynamos welcome Italian giants Roma, before travelling away from the Cathedral, away to minnows Fleetwood. Which has been touted as W-S's first win against a first team.
AngryPaul

Speaking of which, any chance I can start the season as 23? After fellow goalkeeping Walker, West Ham's Jimmy Walker.
Having said that, doesn't the Conference South just use Numbers 1-11 for the starting team, or have things changed since the mighty blues days in the league?

09-01-2008, 06:15 PM
This week Weebls-Stuff Dynamos made two additions to the squad, loanees Ronald Huth from Parent Club Liverpool will provide support for apparent first choice defenders Knights and Clough, whilst Barnsley striker Michael Coulsen will provide backup for strikers Mitchell and Garthwaite-Taylor-Littleshore.
Both were on the bench for today's game with Roma. with a 4-4-2 formation being tested out.
Match report to follow
In what was billed as a cricket score, Roma got a comfortable 3-0 win at the Cathedral Stadium. Whilst it was the first game new kids on-the-block Weebls-Stuff failed to score in, there was at least one positive to draw on. Goalkeeper Paul Numbers played the entire 90 minutes, winning Man of the Match award, no doubt down to his penalty save from Alberto Aquilanti's failed penalty conversion.
"I am pleased with the lads, we did a bit of extra fitness work and it payed off." said the Manager "Its tight for the number one jersey, but Paul certainly staked his claim today, a magnificent string of saves was only spoiled by world class finishing from world class players, who in less than a decades time, I hope we will be playing week in - week out."

Mr stabby
09-01-2008, 06:55 PM
We just didn't have the numbers at all to be honest (as i always normally skate around the subject, mostly i plain lie). I wish one of the wing backs would have said they were a CB, and someone else would have said they were a striker. Would have bolstered the squad a bit. I don't think I'm gonna make any permanent signings, not this season anyway. And if I do make any in the coming years, I'll rename them after forum people.
Promotion Odds released
Oxford have being made Evens favourite to gain a place in the Football League, languishing behind them are new boys Weebls-Stuff Dynamos, commonly known as The Badgers. Their odds are 16-1, which shows them as a long shot to gain promotion.
"I think our odds are a little unfair, but I'm not complaining," stated manager Jacob Mitchell, "This is probably because we are new to the league and of an unknown quality, but hey, it keeps the pressure off us."
Also, I'm picking squad numbers atm, any requests? I've made 1 or two that I see fitting. i.e. the number 20 for a certain holding midfielder...

In a match of near misses, Weebls-Stuff Dynamos came on top in a 1-0 victory over lower league side Fleetwood today.
A string of embarrassing misses from Garthwaite-Taylor Littleshore prevented the Badgers from going into half time with the lead they deserved. He will no doubt feel the breath of loan signing Coulsen down his neck if his form doesn't improve.
On hand to make up for previous games, midfielder Rich Caola scored a beautiful volley to give Weebls-Stuff their first ever away win.
http://i5.tinypic.com/89v0z21.png
"I will admit I was a little disappointed with todays performance, we had many chances to extend the lead, and just didn't take them. No offence to the opposition, but we want to be putting 5 or 6 past these if we want to progress in the Blue Square Premier, it should have been raining goals today, but no one was getting out their macs in the Fleetwood stands."
Sorry :p
In other news, another two Liverpool youngsters joined the Badgers' ranks today, as wingers Ryan Crowther, and surprise signing Nabil El Zhar joined, to offer support on the wings.
"I am especially pleased that young Nabs chose to came here, he is a player who could ply his trade in the higher leagues, so Jake J and Chris will have to watch their backs"
Out of the frying pan
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos were made to sweat this afternoon, coming from behind to win their game at AFC Telford 3-1.
A new formation was being tried out, with youngsters as full backs allowing Jon Knights to be tested in his favoured holding midfield position, as well as pushing wingers further up. This appeared to backfire, as they went into half time 1-0 down. But the system was kept, and instead the personnel were changed. The scores were levelled on the 70 minute mark, Patrick Kidd with a typical powerful finish. The Badgers stayed on the attack, and were rewarded with a penalty in the 85th minute. Matt Clough cooly slotting home to make it 2-1.
It was back to business from then on, and in injury time a delightful Johnson lob put the icing on the cake that was the second half.
http://i4.tinypic.com/6k8bnsx.png
A short statement from manger Jacob Mitchell read "I hate to use the cliche, but this certainly was a game of two halves. I think with our strongest XI out we will stand a very good chance in our first league game, which is coming up next"

Weebls-Stuff Dynamos went top of the league tonight with a cracking 4-0 win over fellow high fliers Kidderminster.

In a game that could have gone either way, Weebls-Stuff Dynamos lost 2-1 at home to Stevenage. They had appeared to just have done enough to win the game, but fans will be going home empty handed.
http://i5.tinypic.com/85wobqu.png
Manager Jacob Mitchell was trying out a 4-5-1 formation, leaving star striker Jake Mitchell(no relation) on the bench.
"Tarquin Littleshore still hasn't scored, so I thought I'd play him as a lone striker today, give him chance to shine. Unfortunately it didn't pay off, and although we scored first, squandered chances prevented us from taking the points today. Its not going to be an easy season, but I won't be doing a 'Big Sam' just yet"
In related news, manager Jacob Mitchell was warned by the FA for complaining about the penalty given against center back John Knights. The young manager thought it was a harsh decision and let the media know about it, the FA handed him an official warning, and did not wish to comment.
Weebls-Stuff come out on top in Rollercoaster of a game
What was thought to be a 1-0 affair turned out to be a classic as Weebls-Stuff Dynamos won 3-2 against a plucky Grays side.
http://i10.tinypic.com/6yfqfqc.png
It looked like a horrific blunder by left back Nix and goalkeeper Sam Walker gifted Grays the win, but goals from Garthwaite-Taylor Littleshore and loanee Nabil El Zhar late in the game gave The Badgers the 3 points they deserved.
"We showed what we can do under pressure, but its strange how we strolled in our away wins, yet seem to be lacking infront of our home fans. There's room for improvement still, but I was generally pleased with the lads today. It was nice to see Tarquin finally score, and Nabs' goal was something special."

JOHNSON PRAISES MITCHELL
Winger Jake Johnson today came out in praise for his Badgers manager Jacob Mitchell.
"I'm glad to be playing under such a diplomatic manager. People have to remember that he is still assessing the squad so it is only right that he changes the side around. I'm glad to have got the game time I have but I do not expect to play every game. The lads know that we have to work hard in training to show the manager that we are all worth a chance, but its a long season and a few games on the bench is not harmful to a career and can only serve to strengthen determination and form."
Johnson's statement came after recent criticism of Mitchell for dropping in-form goalkeeper Paul Numbers for Sam Walker, who then had a poor game against Gray's.

Weebls-Stuff stalemate
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos' 100% away record came to an abrupt half today at the 1-1 draw with Farsley.
There was a little unrest on the bench today from striker Jake Mitchell, complaining about being dropped for loanee Nabil El Zhar. But noone was complaining with his equaliser just two minutes after Farsley opened the scoring.
http://i3.tinypic.com/6yz682q.png
"I thought we could win this, but today our defending wasn't the best, if it wasn't for a few top notch saves and a last minute goal-line clearance from Johnson, we would be going home with nothing. The lads will definitely be having some shooting practise though, after some of the point blank misses I've seen today, we need it"

Numbers applauds Dynamos start to season
Goalkeeper Paul Numbers has praised his teams start to the season.
"Everyone's been playing great, we were complete unknowns coming into the season and we've had a pretty decent start and could push for promotion with a bit of improvement. We're a young squad too with a lot of potential, I can't see Mr Mitchell wanting to sell any of us on anytime soon and the sooner we start fulfilling our potential the sooner we can move up the leagues."
Numbers also had some supportive words for Sam Walker, the goalkeeper challenging him for a starting place.
"Certainly so far this season I've been the more consistent but we're both young and still learning the game, it wouldn't shock me to see Sam find his form and take over from me, I know I've got to be on my toes and keep on form if I want to hold him off. I've been delighted with my form so far but all good things must come to an end, I'll always give my best but I think I've been a bit lucky so far this season, that can't last forever and Sam's a great keeper with a lot of ability, he's just struggling to find his form. The strikers in this league will need to look out when he does!"

JOHNSON PLAYS DOWN WELLINGTON LINK
Badgers winger Jake Johnson has played down reports he is about to join New Zealand-based A League team Wellington Pheonix in a deal worth £40k. The rumour, first season in the Wellington Weekly on Thursday, claims Johnson is wanting to push through a move so he can see his dad who lives in New Zealand.
Johnson spoke directly to manager Jacob Mitchell today to clear up the matter.
"I went and saw the gaffer and told him that this is all rubbish. That place is all upside down so I suppose thats the way they go about things. I'm fully commited to getting us up into the league, which is where I think we belong.I want to remain here for many years and am building up good relationships with my team-mates and don't want to destory that."
When asked about the recent draw with Farlsely Celtic, Johnson said: "It was ok. Thats abuot the best we can say about it. We can do better. We should do better. We know that. We will come out stronger next time."

"I didn't want to sell anyone, I'm pleased with the team I've got, and the only official enquiry I got was Sunderland's interest in Rich Caola, which I instantly rebuked."
Last minute penalty saves Dynamos' scalps
A close 1-0 win put Weebls-Stuff dynamos top of the table in their home game with Oxford today. A 94th minute penalty from Steven Smith got them all 3 points today, but the sketchy home form continues.
http://i15.tinypic.com/855suqe.png
"Its the sign of a good team that can win games they don't play well, but everyone will agree it would be better if we were playing well as well as winning. I'd take 3 points over fancy flicks anyday, but this was too close for comfort" said the manager.

'It's been great to train with these players, they're all very talented, and some of them may make it into the full England side in years to come, I feel I can only benefit from this experience, and hopefully take this on to my club game.'
But Walker was quick to point out he wasn't letting recent events go to his head
'I of course remain fully commited to the Badgers, and can't wait for my next opportunity to play for them, although representing England at any level is a great honour, there is a pride to pulling on the Badgers shirt and running out infront of the Weebls-Stuff faithful that can't be matched.'

Seemingly media-obsessed winger Jake Johnson yet again soke to the press this weekend. This time he was repsonding to something he heard a man yell in a park.

Journalist James Johnson today put these questions to Weebls-Stuff Dynamos manger Jacob Mitchell in a rare interview.
What are you hopes for the season? Is getting promoted important to you or are you just looking to establish the club in the division?
Well we have had a strong start to the season, and got some of the hardest games out of the way already, but that's not to say it's gonna be an easy ride. It's gonna be hard graft up until the last game of the season, but promotion is a possibility, as long as we stay focussed every game.
Are you pleased with the way the team has gelled so far?
Very pleased. Very very pleased. FC United came about "just like that" and I feel we have eclipsed them. I always had a soft spot for them and if one day we could share a partnership that would be cool, but obviously the board aren't going to form links with clubs I like. Anyway, I think with the players we have, and the great financial backing of David Moores, we could be a force to reckon with in coming seasons.
Your rivals seem to think your good form is simply beginners luck, are they wrong and how do you feel about their hostility?
That's just it isn't it, it's a rivalry, and because we have the upper hand at the moment, they go to the press to try and knock us off mentally. It's not gonna happen though, the lads are really down to earth and some of them are pretty sharp upstairs too, I doubt the Guardian will be running stories about lowly Badgers when there is Newcastle and Liverpool to write about.
Paul Numbers has been your first choice for the majority of the campaign so far, yet Sam Walker was called up to the England U19 squad. Will this have bearings on your goalkeeping choices in the future?
It's a burden I'm more than happy to have to handle. some teams don't have one good man between the sticks, but I have two. I think if we do go up, these lads will have a big part to play in it.
Think I'll be getting a game or two in tonight btw.
CLOUGH PLEASED WITH GOALSCORING EXPLOITS
"I'm grateful to the manager for letting me take penalties, and I hope I can just keep putting them away. My key target is to be the best defender I can be, but it's always nice to score, and I hope I can keep contributing to the team at both ends of the pitch."

JOHNSON SPEAKS TO BRISTOL-BATH COMMUTERS DIGEST
http://profile.ak.facebook.com/profile5/335/50/n878320412_6075.jpg
Hi Jake. Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you as well Mr Suave.
Please, call me Jerry. So far the season has been kind to you, both as an individual and as a team. How do you expect the rest of the season to pan out?
Well Jerry, I'm trying to keep my feet on the ground. I'm not scoring as much as I'd like but I'm grateful for the playing time I'm getting. The boss has a policy of giving everyone a fair chance and I beleive that my form has kept my place in the starting eleven. I hope to continue this form and hopefully remain in the first team for the rest of the season. As a team, I am happy with the way things are going. I mean, wouldn't you be? We've only just rocked up to Conference football and the table may make out that its all been easy, but it hasn't. Nowhere near. We have had to work our asses off for these results. We want them to continue, but the press have to be realistic. If we draw, they say we are slipping. They seem to forget that we are n00bs.
Well Bristol-Bath Commuters Digest has always been behind the Dynamos.
Thanks.
Manager Jake Mitchell has been criticised for his rotation policy, especially in terms of goalkeepers, in recent times. Do you think this is deserved? How does the manager react to reading this? And do you think that rotation is the best policy?
First of all Jerry, this has been addressed many times, but I'll say this now and be done with the subject. The Gaffer is obviously doing a great job. You only need to look at our form and position in the table to see that. He is a fair man and wants to give everyone a chance. [Paul] Numbers may be a fans favourite and after a few good games it might seem odd to drop him, but Walkerino [Sam Walker] derserves his chance. He may not have had a great game after replacing Numbers, but everyone has a poor game every now and again and it was only a 1-1 draw. Its not like he conceeded 4 and cost us the game! Also, the England call-up must demonstrate how highly rated Walkerino is and surely someone like that commands a chance. I've found it hard to deal with the way the press sensationalise his decisions, but the boss is very stone-faced about it. He doesn't read the papers like I do, but I know he hears about the stories. He knows what he is doing, so he carries on about his business. I don't think he worries about his image, just about his players and results.
People are talking about the title? Is this too early or have you already ordered the champagne?
Jerry, come on. It's still September. We are still a new, young squad, in terms of age and experience. We are only 10 games into a long season so I don't know how people can start title talk already. The media like a story though, they want us to be the title-clinching newcomers, but at the same time having in-fights and criticising the management. This isn't ideal for us, but we brush it off and carry on. Of course, I'd love to win the title, but at the moment we need to focus on gettnig the best start so we can lay the foundations for a potential challeng later in the season.
If you don't win the title, or indeed promotion, will this season and club be seen as a failure?
Not at all. Promotion would be great. The title would be awesome. But the Dynamos is a long-term project and we don't have to get everything done in the first 5 minutes. ideally, I'd like to be in the promotion hunt because what player doesn't want to push themselves to play at a higher level? However, as long as we create a stable team that plays good football, Weebls-Stuffs Dynamos will be a success.
Thank you.
Nah, you're alright.

Dynamos return with neither a Bang nor a whimper
In what has been a quiet week in football, bar the Johnson press conference, Weebls-Stuff Dynamos returned with a 1-1 draw away at Aldershot.
They failed to make their dominance pay, and only equalised in the 95th minute, 2 more minutes than stoppage time should even have happened.
http://i27.tinypic.com/fnfh2x.png
"Well, what can I say? It really wasn't our day today. Aldershot are 3rd, and they are high up in the table for a reason. We struggled to put one past their keeper, who in my opinion [and the press'] he played a 10 out of 10. But on any other day, it could have been 6-1. So we will just keep going, and thankfully are still top."
They also had 3 goals disallowed, although Manager Jacob Mitchell refused to comment on them.

NUMBERS REVEALS DISAPPOINTMENT IN RECENT FORM
The Dynamos might be flying high in the table but their goalkeeper, Paul Numbers has revealed he is disappointed by his personal form of late.
"Sure we've been winning our games and pulling out good performances as a team but it's been a while since I kept a clean sheet and often the opposition have only had 3 or 4 shots on target. Letting in one or two goals a match is really unacceptable even if we go on to win the match."
Numbers however had praise for the rest of the team.
"It shows what a quality team we have that I can make these mistakes and we still top the table and win most of our matches, the midfield have been excellent this season. Jake Johnson and Rich Caola have been particularly excellent and the rest of the team haven't been too shabby either. I really need to work hard to get on top form as I'm not happy with my current form, we may be winning but I can't expect to be the number 1 choice between the sticks if I keep letting in goals the way I have the last few games."

It would be a giant pain to start it all again, but I could change a players name to yours with the nickname function, put your picture in if you want, to make it more like you. If there is a savegame editor out there though, I could put you in altogether. I just don't know if one exists. in return for modship I'll start the whole thing again :p
Nah it's cool - are there any unassinged players who I could adopt?

There isn't one that let's you change names I don't think, but I believe there is one that let's you change stats...so I guess you should sign a really crap player, nickname him "Skoo", and change his stats and position using the editor.
It's called FMM. Not really sure if there even is one for FM08, but there has been for every other version.

If it's the same as FM07, you load p your game, then minimise the window, open the editor, press the load button, and away you go.
Then just change everything and nickname them Skoo or whatever Skoo wants to be named. The nickname feature basically is a name change, I dont think yo see the real name again.

Badgers sign new striker
To cope with the short squad, Weebls-Stuff Dynamos visited their local 5 a side tourny and offered a place to the best player they could. It may be unorthodox but it could turn out to be a good move, as what we saw on the training pitch matched the rest of the lads.
http://i25.tinypic.com/2vdl861.png
"Skoo[Chris Vick] wowed us all for the Maccy D's 5 a side team. I think we must have signed the best player to be unattached to a proper club. We hope to nurture him through his prime years, and earn him a bob or two more than he got as head burger chef"

Out of the Griddle Pan into the fire for Vicks as Badgers made to sweat
In what was billed as a close encounter, Weebls-Stuff Dynamos eventually overcame Ebbsfleet in a rollercoaster of a game which ended up 3-2 to the dominant side.

"The big story for most will be Skoo, a fella plucked from obscurity one minute and playing semi-professional football. If we carry on the way we are. He will be in the Football League very soon." said manager Jacob Mitchell "But for me the big story was the superb performances of the 2 Jakes. Johnson provided all 3 assists to Mitchell's goals. He certainly earned his goal bonus making up for poor Rich, who sure had a bad day at the office"
Weebls-Stuff Win Again
Bookies will have to stop taking bets soon if this rich vein of form is to continue, as the Badgers ended Forest Greens 9 game unbeaten run to extend their own.
The scoring was opened up on 76' from a beautiful volley from outside the area from private school tutored, academy trained Tarquin Garthwaite-Taylor Littleshore, but the icing on the cake was the converted Stern cross that was stroked home by local Fairytale Hero Chris Vick

Vick pleased with his start for Badgers
In a local radio interview this morning Weebls-Stuff's recent signing, Chris Vick, said: "I was relieved to get my first goal in my first full game, but I was equally pleased that the lads kept a clean sheet. We've got the tightest defense in the league and we want to hold onto that."
Reflecting on the previous week, Vick continued: "The gaffer has put a lot of faith in me, but we both agreed I wasn't 100% match fit for the first game. I worked mid-week in training on my fitness levels and ended with a goal."

Walker thrilled with first team run
Badger's keeper Sam Walker took a moment out of his training on Tuesday for an interview with the Non league paper, in which he wanted to give a special thanks to his manager on giving him a run in the first team recently.
"I realise the gaff has a bit of a selection headache with keepers this season, with Numbs (Paul Numbers) having done a fantastic job for most of the season, but luckily, he went through a rough patch recently, and it gave me a chance to get into the first team, and, I feel I did my self justice and can keep pushing Paul for the rest of the season, he is of course though a very reliable player, and staying in the team won't be easy with him around."
On the matter of the teams performance this season, Walker was again full of praise for his manager and team mates
"Who'd have ever dreamed we'd be doing this well? Begining of the season we were high in confidence, and there was a good feeling around the camp, but we never thought we'd hit the league running as we did, 19 games gone and we're already pulling away from the rest of the teams, it really is a testimony to the lads, and the gaffer, who've all put in a lot of hard work to get here, and of course now, we're all confident of continuing our fine form and finishing as league winners and breaking into the football league. And obviously, being a Kent boy my self, I was happy last week to get one over Ebbsfleet, although I was a little dissapointed to have been dropped again to the bench, but I understand the gaffs position, and am happy to keep doing my part for the team."
Speaking of the last match, what did you think of Chris Vick?
"Wow, what a find Skoo was, just goes to show that if you go out and play football, even locally, you might get spotted and end up moving up to a higher level"
(Edited due to stupidity being pointed out by Mr Stabby)
Mr stabby

So even though you were asked about Chris Stern (Nuke Spoon), you still talked about Chris Vick (Skoo) :p
"If we think we've done the hard work, we will fail"
In a recent interview, we saw two sides to Weebls-Stuff manager Jacob Mitchell, the down to earth man-management side and the tough talking gaffer who will stop at nothing to win.
We hear that training with you is more like having a kickabout with your mates in the park, is this true?
Who told you that? After one game I let the lads slack off a little because they had all put so much effort in, but I don't go easy on them. If we play unwell one game, even if we win, the lads will run and run until I think they are showing a little more effort, top results are nice, 100% effort is what I'm after
OK then, so what do you think to the start of the season?
It has been great but I hear some of the lads singing "we're going up" in the showers, so I turn the water cold. If we think like that we will get complacent. If they sing "we have the ability to go up if we work hard enough" thats ok, but it doesn't have so much of a ring to it.
Well that certainly is one way of doing it. What can you tell us about new signing Chris Vick?
Skoo [Vick] is a good lad, some of the younger ones look up to him even though one or two can run rings round him, when I saw how much hard work he put in for his local 5 a side team combined with his great touch, I thought he would be a great addition.
At the other end of the pitch, there seems to be a little competition between the sticks
I've said before, its a curse I'm glad to have. Sam goes off with the England under 19s sometimes which is pretty special for a Blue Square player, Sam had a good little run in the squad but then he was away on England duty, so Paulie came in, and impressed me again. Its tough but eventually one will come out on top.
With so much interest being focussed on the team, some more "famous" managers have been linked with the club, what can you tell us about that?
That's nonsense, I have no idea what you're talking about. I am concentrating only on coaching and training my team.
Well a certain German fella has been linked with your job if a higher profile team come in for you
I am concentrating only on coaching and training my team

More injury woes for Badgers
Midfielder Steven Smith is the latest injury woe for manager Jacob Mitchell. He will be out for between 3 weeks and 2 months with fractured ribs.
"I'm disappointed, we might have to get back down to that McDonald's if this continues. I am looking for a new physio because to be frank, the ones here aren't up to scratch. Between 3 weeks and 2 months, that's way too vague."
Better news for Weebls-Stuff Dynamos
The injuries didn't disappear but there is some brighter news for The Badgers when it came to the end of month awards. Manager Jacob Mitchell scooped manager of the month award for the second month running. Injury victim Patrick Kidd came a close second in the player of the month awards. Chris Vick's tap in capped an excellent team move and grabbed third in goal of the month, whilst the bronze for young player of the month went to centre back Jon Knights.
10 man Badgers win again
Despite having a man sent off and conceding again, Weebls-Stuff Dynamos came out on top in a 2-1 win away at Rushen.
http://i32.tinypic.com/2r6ksxj.png
"We might have won but this wasn't good enough. The players will be doing extra work this week, and I'll be having words with Jake Johnson about his misconduct." the gaffer told The Express "I had to reshuffle the squad which could be an excuse but in the second half we just stopped trying, if it wasn't for the younger Jake we would have lost today."
After fining winger Jake Johnson 1 weeks wages for his dismissal. More than a few players voiced there unrest. We managed to get a quick comment from the manager.
"It's club policy to fine 1 weeks wage for a double yellow card, and 2 weeks for a straight red. Unless we appeal that is. It's nothing personal, and I'm sure Jake will be among the goals again and earning that money back in goal bonuses."
Problems worsen at the Cathedral stadium
Injury claimed another young star at Weebls-Stuff Dynamos today. Young winger Chris Stern will be out for between 1 and 3 months due to a torn groin muscle.
"I will be trying to bring some players in on a short term loan, we need the cover

Weebls-Stuff sign free agent
To cope with the loss of players due to injury, especially in midfield, Weebls-Stuff have signed Jason Norville of Trinidad and Tobago on a free transfer.

He is an emergency signing to cope with the injuries, his contract lasts till the end of the season, but if I'm impressed he could win a longer one.
Back to winning ways for Badgers
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos recorded a 3-1 win today to keep their unbeaten streak going and stretch their lead at the top of the table.
http://i30.tinypic.com/2n6b3fd.png
"Its nice to win and it was a shock to the system for the lads when they were held last week, they know they aren't immortal and I think we have come out stronger. I was pleased JJ got back on the scoresheet and Rich chipped in with a goal, I think his bad run is pretty much over, touch wood."
Mitchell wins award again
It was a quiet turn of the month. But Weebls-Stuff manager Jacob Mitchell managed to win manager of the month again.
"Chuffed. That's all I can say. They seem to think I'm doing a bang up job so who am I to complain? At this rate I might get a little pay rise
Wasteful Weebls-Stuff lose at last
After a lengthy spell as the Blue Square invincibles, they finally fell at the sword of 23rd place Northwich.

The following extract was overheard from the away team locker room.
"You stupid c***s, what the f**k was that? Half of you lot could be playing in higher leagues, and will be, but if you play like that again, you'll be in the f**king reserve league till I say otherwise."
Manager Mitchell sues Sun for libel
In a scandal never seen in the lower leagues, Weebls-Stuff Dynamos manager Jacob Mitchell is taking newspaper The Sun to court. He has this to say.
"The stuff printed in that paper the other day, the "overhead conversation" is a load of rubbish. If you want to know what I say to my team that much, go train for a year or so and see if you can get a ringside seat. Because of that filthy rag, I am banning press from the stadium. Anyone who wants to talk to me or any of the players will have to schedule it in your own time
Cracking game from Badgers
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos thumped fellow promotion candidates York 4-0 with a scorcher of a second half performance.
http://i25.tinypic.com/2j0l4pc.png
"I think the second half was the best bit of football I have seen at this club. We played perfect. We walked the ball into the net twice, Rich scored a 30 yard screamer and had a few cracking long shots well saved, and Cloughie was on hand to tap in a scramble in the box which shows we are willing to fight. JOHNSON FRUSTRATED WITH STOP-START NOVEMBER
Badgers winger Jake Johnson has spoken to Man and Horse about the past month.
"I'm happy I've managed to get on the scoresheet again, but am not happy about one game in, one game out. My fine for my red card was deserved, I was chasing the game and frustration crept in, meaning later challenges. I said I was sorry to the gaffer and told the lads it was fair, and they calmed down. I had to sit out, and that was my punishment, and on the return, to grab a goal was fantastic, but then I got injured and we still need to see how long for. Its rubbish being in and out, especially when its not your form thats making the choices, but I'll be back stronger than ever."

Second half fightback gives Badgers second chance
After falling behind 2-0 in a match they dominated, a tactical changearound and rousing team talk turned Weebs-Stuff Dynamos' luck and they pulled it back to 2-2 to earn a replay in the FA Trophy.
http://i29.tinypic.com/291id8p.png
"We were all over them for the entire match, and a few defensive lapses almost cost us. Its going to be even harder when we go back to their place. When one team has 30 shots, and the other has 8, you assume the one with 30 would win. This wasn't the case today. We have a chance to redeem ourselves in the next match, home again but this time in the Setanta Shield.
Badgers progress first time in the Setanta Shield
A much improved performance from Weebls-Stuff Dynamos made their passage into the next round of the Setanta Shield an easy one. A brace from Mitchell with a Chris Vick blinder of a goal inbetween gave them a 3-1 win over Rushden.

Caola concentrates on short-term personal goal
When asked about his ambitions for the future, Rich Caola took a laid back approach and stated that his current goal, aside from helping the team fight for promotion, was to play well enough to earn the man of the match. he stated: "I have put in some strong and consistent performances over the season, adding my name to the scoresheet on several occasions, however, I haven't put in a performance to really wow people. If I can raise my game enough to do that then I will be happy. Plus, generally speaking if my performances are good then that is usually the result of a good team performance, so as long we perform well as a team, then my goal will be easier to realise."

Mitchell gives Media early Xmas Present with interview
There has been a fair few players coming to the media recently, I'm sure you gave them your say but can you tell us what was said?
Well, the main three incidents were Rich, TGT and Ossy am I right? Yeah I thought so. There has been no bust ups if that's what you mean.
Yes but some of the players expressed concerns and we would like to know what you did to settle them
Well Rich was worrying about not getting Man of the Match yet, which pretty much isn't true. We have an official partnership with our sponsors here at your newspaper "The Forum" so that's what he bases it on, your ratings. I told him if he went and found every paper in England, and found our ratings, he would no doubt be Man of the Match sometimes, as would pretty much everyone I think
The more worried players such as Dejardin and Littleshore were more pressing though, Oscar even bringing you into it.
Ossy knows he wont play as many games as the others at the moment, he is young and improving every week. He gets some games when he shows me what he can do in training and the match practise is vital. If he plays week in week out he will burn out by his 20s. We don't want that.
I think you made quite a fuss over TGT[Littleshore]. Of course he wants to score goals, 'cos he is a striker. But at the moment our injury problems mean we need someone to play on the wings and TGT is a good enough winger. I'm grateful he has filled in when one or two players I know in other teams would kick up a fuss
Your first cup game was a bit of a disappointment, and that was at home. How do you expect to win the replay away?
Are you for real? Haven't we shown that on our day we can beat anyone in this league home or away? If we try our hardest and take the form from our last game into it, we can progress
What are the January transfer policies?
Well, we have a little bit of money to spend but what is the point spending it when we are in this great position? We had Carr offered to us from a Premiership club, but I want this group of lads to do well because they are the backbone of the team. I might get another lad or two in on loan if we can.
Badgers through at second attempt
An entertaining game saw Weebls-Stuff Dynamos overcome Aldershot in their FA Trophy 1st round replay.
http://i26.tinypic.com/1zx8nf9.png
"Nabil is a premiership player. So to have him on our side is a major advantage. I think we got the tactics right today and the players did themselves proud. Rich was moaning about not getting man of the match, and look who got the bottle of champers today. He didn't bribe you did he? It was also nice to see Steven Smith back from injury. Paddy and JJ are in light training and should be back by the New Year.
Last gap penalty drama earns Weebls-Stuff a point
In a game they dominated from first to last, The Badgers were lucky to come out with 1 point in a game they did more than enough to earn all 3.
The Badgers lead in the first half through a Mitchell volley after Littleshore fed him a suberp cross. The equaliser came once Mitchell had left the field and been replaced by Vick. No matter how many shots Weebls-Stuff got on target, it was not to be. In the last minute it appeared they would be robbed of anything, but Paul Numbers made up for his earlier gaffe by pulling out a fine save.
http://i27.tinypic.com/54aiyg.png
"Its one step forward and a step back again on the injury front. Steven is just coming back to match fitness and our top scorer and our captain get injured. Mitchell is out for 3 months, whilst Nix for a few weeks. We had more than enough chances to win this game today, but their goalkeeper just refused to be beaten again. He was top class. The squad is way too think and it is annoying how we have got all these injuries at once. I hope over January we can attract more local talent*

When asked on his team's progress, his response was a mixture of admiration and pain. That may or may not be due to his groin injury.
"It's really great how well our team is coming along for their first season in competitive football. We haven't even thought of not being promoted and we can hardly wait for the next season, let alone this one to finish."
When quizzed on his injury, he clearly winced at the thought of being out for so long. "Hercules would struggle with this. At the turn of the year, Decembers young player of the month award went to Jake Mitchell, and goal of the month went to Rich Caola for his screamer against York. A run of three away games without a win stopped the manager from picking up his third manager of the month award.
Badgers bring in the New Year with another stalemate
In a surprisingly even match, the first game of 2008 for Weebls-Stuff finished 0-0. With all the shots on goal it was no wonder one keeper would take Man of the Match, unfortunately for the Badgers, it was the Stevanage keeper, who did concede, although it was ruled out for a foul.
http://i29.tinypic.com/25s6629.png
"I'm not going to pretend injuries haven't cost us lately, because they have. Now Cloughie is out for up to 2 months. And Doktor Ess and Jon Knights have picked up a 1 match suspension, so they will miss the FA Trophy 2nd round, away at Bishop Stortford. On the plus side, Paddy and Stern are just a few days away from recovery now. And it was great to see JJ make his comeback. If we carry on like we are doing, promotion is out of the window.
Back to Business for Badgers
A good performance saw Weebls-Stuff Dynamos come away with all 3 points at home to relegation battlers Woking.
Rich Caola's goal separated the two teams but the truth is it should have been 3 or 4. Jake Johnson missing a penalty in the last few minutes emphasising the point.
http://i29.tinypic.com/34sh283.png
"Well at the end of the day 3 points is 3 points, but our finishing wasn't the best. If we play like that against better teams we will lose. We had one loan signing playing today and should have another 1 or 2 coming in soon." said the manager Jacob Mitchell "Rich bagged another Man of the Match award, so maybe more players should moan to the press

In other news Weebls-Stuff have signed Liverpool center back Jack Hobbs on a 3 month loan deal.
Late drama forces replay
An 82nd minute penalty was seen to be enough to take Weebls-Stuff through to the 3rd round of the FA Trophy till the 94th minute, where goalie Sam Walker parried the ball and the Bishop's Stortford striker was left with a tap in.
http://i31.tinypic.com/23j5mrr.png
"I don't know what's going on, at the beginning of the season we would have won this 4 or 5 nil. We are slowly getting better though, and the squad is slowly coming back to full strength. The physio we brought in the other month has left already, and we have brought in someone much better, who is giving much more accurate health reports. We hoped the knock Chris Stern picked up wasn't serious as we have only just seen him come back from a lengthy layoff, but unfortunately he will be out for between 2 weeks and a month.

After finally being given a chance by his manager Dejardin was happy to reward his gamble with a man of the match performance. "I couldn't be happier, I'm very glad that I'm still in the bosses plans as for a while back there I was wondering whether by future was with the team I love.".

JOHNSON PRIDE AT ARMBAND
Weebl's winger Jake Johnson expressed his pride at being given the captains armband for The Badgers 1-0 victory over Woking earlier this month.
"Well I was well-chuffed to be given the responsibility of leading the lads out. I had only just returned from injury, which I was delighted with so this nearly sent me over the edge. We only won 1-0 in a game we shouldn't netted more in so I think the lads need more time to get used to my leading style, but either way it was an immense honour. I hope to do it again very soon, but I know that Nickers and Jake 2.0 are first in-line and rightfully so."
When asked about The Badgers new recruitment drive, Johnson said: "Good things can only come from it. We have a wafer thin squad as it is without all our sudden injuries. We need mroe bodies to fill out the squad and I'll always be pleased to have people come in to compete for a starting place. As long as its not mine."

Manager returns with two new faces
It was back to business for manager Jacob Mitchell who returned to work today after a small lay off with a mystery illness.
His first words on his return were "They checked for viruses and I came out clean a few days later, that's all you need to know."
"I have better news anyway, I was so bored in the hospital that I read about 10 different newspapers that real with lower league football, and there were two names that cropped up more than others. So I got one of my scouts to check them out and they came back with positive reviews. Al McBeath is a winger who was playing Sunday League football, one of the scouts took a video on their mobile of him running round the entire 10 outfield players, so he definitely has the ability, he wont be doing that in the big boys leagues though
http://i28.tinypic.com/25s8vbl.png
"And the other is a center back who can also play on the right who goes by the name of Nathan Carr, he plays for the same college team as the Assistant Manger's son, I haven't had the chance to see him play yet, but with Doktor Ess on a 2 week leave I'm sure I'll see him play.

Players show gaffer support with 3-0 win
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos showed their manager what he had been missing with a stroll in the park at home to Bishop's Stortford.
A debut goal from Al McBeath was followed by yet another long ranger from Rich Caola and a Jake Johnson tap in.
http://i32.tinypic.com/5b215i.png
"I don't have the energy to say much today, but the lads really showed commitment today, maybe the recent scare put things into perspective. They deserve to be in the next round.
With around 2 weeks left of the transfer window, time is running out for new players to show themselves off.
What's our formation like now the squad is a little bigger?
Mr stabby
06-02-2008, 08:54 PM
A 4-4-2 with the two wingers running up to the left and right sides of the strikers. I'll post it next game, which will be later tonight.

3 points, 3 goals for Badgers
A now almost routine win for Weebls-Stuff Dynamos kept them clear at the top of the table. A wicked deflection gave right back Carr his first senior goal, before an even bigger deflection took Rich Caola's shot into the back of the night, although it was credited as an own goal. Steven Smith rounded off the scoring with a cooly slotted penalty.
http://i26.tinypic.com/2j5gmkh.png
When asked about the strikers lack of goals, the manager said:
"As long as the goals are being scored, I don't care if its the keeper who is scoring them. When the team stops scoring, then we worry."
The formation finished a bit nuts, so I'll post it next time.

Strikers delight as Badgers win again
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos striker Chris Vick got himself on the scoresheet for only the second time in 12 league games, a sublime second half finish from Vick was the icing on the cake that was a great all round performance.
http://i26.tinypic.com/2s1tyrl.png
"Another game and another win, I'm pleased with the lads and I think the team is pretty strong now, once the injured few come back I think we can safely say that we can win the league.

Any chance of seeing the stats for the team? I wanna know how i'm doing, i've scored a few but how many assists do I have?
And what happened to Norville? He used to play for Watford but was never quite good enough to make it.
Vick pleased after breaking his drought.
"I was struggling a bit on the left wing when the gaffer drafted me in. I got a goal early, but then seemed to lose my way. The 4-4-2 seems to suit my playstyle a little better and it feels good to get back on the score sheet. I was getting a bit of stick from the lads, but we've been getting results and that is all that matters right now."

Horrific away shirts provide horrific performance
The Pink and Lime Green Badgers somehow managed to escape this game with a 1-1 draw.
In this, the first game of 2 Oxford - Weebls-Stuff ties in a row, the home team were by far the better team, restricting the Badgers to a handful of long range chances.
Unfortunately for Oxford the Badgers have arguably the best long range finishers in the league in Rich Caola and Nathan Carr, who both came on after half-time. It was the former who got the equaliser, a wicked shot taking an equally wicked deflection.
http://i32.tinypic.com/11c75s9.png
"If we play like this against them in the cup game, we will be out. I wasn't happy with the lads performance today, it was possibly the worst I have seen at the club.
Badgers sweep up January awards
It was a good January for Weebls-Stuff Dynamos as they shone in all but one award.
17 year old left back and captain Matty Nix gained the Young Player of the Month award, and came third in overall player of the month. New signing Al McBeath came third in the Young Player of the Month and it was back to business for the gaffer Jacob Mitchell, picking up Manager of the Month again

Much improved performance takes Badgers through
A totally rejuvenated Weebls-Stuff team came out clear winners and although it was a team effort, two men in particular took the plaudits.
Firstly, goalkeeper Sam Walker pulled off a superb penalty save to keep the game at 0-0, then in the second half supersub Chris Vick came on and scored a superb hat trick, showing that perhaps he works well as a lone striker.
http://i30.tinypic.com/i3t6xx.png
"The effort he[Vick] put in was what impressed me the most today, his first and last goals were great, superb finishes, but it was the fact he was willing to run so hard that got him his second goal, and there would have been no hat trick without it
oh and the 16 of you that voted on the polls and didn't enter should have. pfft.
Vicks finds his groove in great game
Another cup win in another competition means Weebls-Stuff Dynamos are still in the race for the lower-league treble.
Chris Vick showed the skills that won him a contract with a second hat trick in a row, this time he started and showed why he should have. This new formation really suits him.
http://i29.tinypic.com/a2yq9u.png
"I am bloody well impressed. 6 goals in 2 games, 2 match balls in 2 games. We've got a bet on that if he does it again, I have to wash his car in a bikini. Another clean sheet for Sam is good for his confidence, I find it really hard to choose between the two keepers

This is the team as a whole, 18 permanent players and a few on loan. When it started there were just 14 players who were put together at the last minute when a former Conference team went out of business.

Sam Walker, England Under 19's first choice keeper and at the moment seemingly the Badgers first choice. He seems to keep more clean sheets but this could be partly down to the strengthened defence that has been brought in since Walker started playing more regularly, including full/wing back and captain...

Matty Nix. So far this season he has impressed and shown maturity beyond his years when handed the captaincy. Ever dependant, and seemingly even better in the cups, the pacey full back has attracted the attention of bigger clubs such as Burnley, but has shown the loyalty that earned him the captaincy by rebuking them instantly. Nix usually plays left back but more recently has been moved up in a new formation to right wingback, playing behind him is...

Smith contests his central midfield place with ...
http://i25.tinypic.com/4udwrd.png
Patrick Kidd, or Paddy as he is known, His first touch can create an opening and he can usually fight and run his way there with his awesome physical abilities. A turnout of 7 goals from 20 league games is very good, acceptable for some strikers even. Its not hard to see why Jacob Mitchell has such a hard choice to make regarding the center of midfield. His wing options at the moment are much more straightforward, with first choice winger...

Before McBeath, his position was filled in by...

Tarquin Garthwaite-Taylor Littleshore. TGT as he is known, must be the poshest named player in English football, but don't let the name fool you, he grafts harder than a Yorkshireman on a 24 hour shift in the mines. He has chipped in with a few goals but its the 8 goals he has set up that is impressive. 20 goals will come out of this player if he carries on like this, even if they don't all come from his final touch. Although he plays on the wings sometimes, he prefers to be a striker, currently playing alongside
http://i28.tinypic.com/156r02e.png
Chris Vick. The former head burger flipper at McDonald's scored a lucky break when his eye catching performances in the Maccy Ds 5 a side tourney were seen my the Weebls-Stuff scout. A goal on his first start showed some promise, although a barren run followed with just a few cup goals and one more solitary league goal. However recently his fortunes have changed dramatically, 2 hat tricks in the last 2 games have pretty much kept the Badgers on track for the treble. His pace is the main thing that worries opposing defenders, and now he will hope he can be the clubs main league goal threat as well, in the absence of top scorer...
http://i32.tinypic.com/xfyv0w.png
Jake Mitchell. His name bears striking resemblance to the managers but talks of a Redknapp style relationship have been quashed. Still out for up to 2 months, it looks like he could be losing in the race for golden boot at this rate, and he will be curing his injury. It's his determination more than anything that gets him in fine opportunity to score this many goals in so few a number of games. He is another that everyone will be wishing a speedy recovery
So there you have it. Weebls-Stuff Dynamos, aka the Badgers, also sometimes aka the Forum. One group of lads banded together at the last minute to take the world by storm. The so called "Big 4" could have a contender in a few years time if things progress like they have done so far...

Badgers win again
In an open game, Weebls-Stuff in form striker Chris Vick and January signing Al McBeath scored the only goals.
http://i26.tinypic.com/nf34sm.png
"We handled business well today, dominating the game for most of the 90 minutes, we did have a little scare but we came through OK. Looking at the league table, some people will think its "job done" but that isn't the case. If we take our foot off the pedal, anything could happen.
Badgers loanees smash Exeter.
In a game dominated from first to last by Weebls-Stuff Dynamos, it took a Nabil El Zhar brace and 35 yard strike from Charlie Barnett. Steven Smith was given the chance to grab a goal for the permanent players, but fluffed it when he missed his 92nd minute penalty.
http://i31.tinypic.com/fenfj9.png
"Anyone who says we had to rely on other teams players can go do something unpleasant to themselves. Nabil and Charlie are our players for the next few months. We didn't play a full strength team today because basically everyone is shattered. This game showed how we have strength in depth

JOHNSON HAPPY WITH LOAN PERFORMANCES
Badgers winger Jake Johnson came out in praise for loan stars Nabil El Zhar and Charlie Barnett today as he spoke to the press before opening a local Kwik-Save.
"The two lads have been important for us, especially as we have had such bad luck with injuries. They have put it important performances and by the end of the season they could have made up to 15-20 extra points for us. Thay are also generally great chaps."

Rousing team talk inspires Badgers to victory
A second half fightback provided Weebls-Stuff Dynamos with another victory today as they steamroller on in the Blue Square Premier.
They fell behind to a goal early in the first half which was against the run of play, but they maintained the pressure and it paid off with 2 goals in succession from Jake Johnson and Chris Vick
http://i31.tinypic.com/ejbkid.png
"I'm glad Chris found his shooting boots, his latest run has got us out of some real tough spots. Its nice to almost have the full team back too. The defending was solid after the first sloppy 20 minutes, and noone can take JJs man of the match award off him, a truly stunning goal.
Extra time decides cup cracker
Today was nothing short of a battle of the pitch as two very evenly matched teams in York and Weebls-Stuff Dynamos battled it out for a spot in the semi finals.
The game eventually finished 3-2, but not before being 1-0, 1-1, 2-1 and 2-2.
In what was a game of surprises, we had Badgers goals from two players who scored in the last game, and 2 York players who haven't been setting the scorecharts alight recently. One or two of the not so regular Badgers players seemed determined to get on the scoresheet, Oscar Dejardin in particular. BUT it was Weebls-Stuff who came out on top when Patrick Kidd smashed in a second half extra time volley.
http://i25.tinypic.com/14ebfv4.png
"You know what they say about the magic of the cup, and I think this proves it. Team of newbies who battles their way to the semi. I think we have a great chance of making the final. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to celebrate.

JOHNSON PLEASED WILL GOALSCORING FORM
Constantly talking winger Jake Johnson today spoke to Base Jumper's Quarterly about his recent form: "Football may not be your readers prime interest but I'm sure that even they are interested in the Badgers. Our rise has been great and I'm determined to get a trophy this season and seeing us into the cup semis has me 'jumping' for joy. The Torquay game was tough, especially as many people were vomitting thankis to our kit. Luckily we are used to it so it inspired us to victory."
When asked about his successive man of the match awards, Johnson responded: "I'll share the champagne with the lads. Its a team effort. I just happen to look the best in our kit and my awesome cucumber coloured boots. The awards aren't want intereest me at this point of the season. The goals do as they are what win matches. Long may they continue."
Vick finds his stride.
In a recent interview for Farmer Joe's Almanac Chris Vick highlighted his growing confidence: "Yeah It's been good settling into a regular training session. Before I signed for the badgers I didn't really have any form of exercise other than football. I've been here a while now so I feel that I've settled mentally and physically into the team. Hopefully my more recent goalscoring just goes to show what I am capable of."
Continuing with this display of confidence, Vick looked again to the future: "We're getting promoted this year and with that comes a tougher task ahead. I'm not worried, or nervous about it in the slightest. We've shown in recent games that we can work hard for a result if we have to, and totally dominate at other times. Either way, we will get results."

Weebls-Stuff beat Torquay for 4th time this season
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos took on Torquay for the 4th time, and came away with the 4th win in a row. They have met in each cup and twice in the league, and each time The Badgers have come on top.
This time it was thanks to a Chris Vick goal, capitalising after the ball bounced over the Torquay 'keeper. All he had to do was put it in the empty net.
At the other end of the pitch, center back Nathan Carr received an instant red for landing an elbow on a Torquay striker.
http://i25.tinypic.com/10opch1.png
"Nathan will be getting the mandatory 2 week fine for an instant red, and we'll have a word. Then noone will hear any more about it 'cos next time you see him on the pitch he will be the model professional. I was a little disappointed earlier in the week when Chris Vick said we were already promoted, there is still a fair way to go. But it seems like he is still putting the effort in, so as long as complacency doesn't creep in, we should be ok.
They have drawn either Stevenage or Cambridge in the semi final of the FA Trophy. And have drawn Aldershot at home in the semi final of the Setanta Shield, the team they will be playing next in the Blue Square Premier.
Cup break doesn't distract Badgers
It was another win for Weebls-Stuff Dynamos who managed to beat Aldershot 1-0 at the Cathedral Stadium.
Winger Jake Johnson, a second half sub, scored the goal in the 85th minute in a game they dominated.
http://i29.tinypic.com/25jwe36.png
"I'm getting a bit worried with the finishing, so many shots and only one managed to sneak its way in. 3 points is 3 points, but if we do manage to get into the Football League, drastic improvement will be required.

JOHNSON DISSAPOINTED WITH SQUAD ATTITUDE
Outspoke Badgers winger Jake Johnson recently spoke to Intray Moulders Monthly about the recent goingons in the Dynamos camp.
"We are doing well, coasting some might say, but this has brought complacency to the group. The lads seem to be going out there with their mind of other things, thinking they are safe with 3 points already in the bag. This is not so. As we saw against Aldershot, we can dominate the game all we want but if the hard work and goals are not there, we're nothing but draws and loses.
I think I am most disspointed with Cable [Carr] as his dismissal was reckless and put us under more pressure, although the way we've been going about the games it was probably best that we didn't have the games on a plate and had to graft a bit harder for the result. I'm sure he and the lads will realise and rectify this in no time.
I don't want the lads thinking I'm dismissing the hard work we've done so far. It's been an awesome season. Far more than we could imagine. I just don't want us taking it for granted that we've won the league or will get to these finals. We need to play to our best, in the right midset, secure the results, then relax with our medals."

Caola looking forward to next game
After a few lacklustre wins, and some sass from players and fans alike, Rich Caola commented on how the team have become re-energised. "After a spell of complacency, we've woken up and smell the orange mocha frappuccino and have seen that we're not performing as well as we should be. Everyone wants to win, but we need to win with style and class if we want to give the fans their value for money. The team is really fired up to put on a show for the next game and I hope that this energy will transfer to the pitch"

Badgers take another step towards promotion
A fine game for everyone but Stafford fans today as Weebls-Stuff Dynamos won 3-1. A Clough penalty and superb 20 yard scissor kick from Smith took them into half time at 2-0. After the break they went further into the lead with a mazy run from Jake Johnson ending in him tucking one away in the bottom left corner. Stafford had time to grab a consolation goal but at no point in the match did they look like winning

Walker buoyed by prospect of League football
With the season running towards it conclusion, and the Dynamo's still dominating the Blue Square premier, Weebls-Stuff keeper Sam Walker wanted to warn future league two rivals that he felt he was ready to step up and show the football league what he could do.
"Despite inconsistent early season form, I feel that this year as the season has gone on, I've developed a lot as a player and improved my consistency, which I'm hoping hasn't gone unnoticed by the gaffer. With England already having recognised my abilities, my focus now is on pushing this team as far as possible and reaching the top of English football."

Weebls-Stuff give home fans something to cheer about
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos reproduced their fine away form at the Cathedral Stadium, with a 4-1 rout of Crawley.
http://i25.tinypic.com/166grm.png
"What a cracking game, I'm glad I got to see us show what we can do whilst sitting in my comfy chair in the dug out. But seriously, its nice we can play this well with a changed team. We have a cup game coming up and a few of the players were tired, that explains the strange sub situation at half time. I took a gamble and it paid off. said manager Jacob Mitchell.
Badgers take advantage in semi final thriller
A close 1-0 win for Weebls-Stuff Dynamos in the first leg of their FA Trophy semi final clash takes them into the second leg with a priceless advantage. Matty Nix scored a rare goal after the Stevenage keeper only managed to parry Chris Vick's 30 yard volley.
http://i25.tinypic.com/30aw7jo.png
"It was a close match but we really should have won by more, we had 26 shots to their 7, but the more shots we have, the more chance we have of scoring, and to be honest, keeping a clean sheet was priority today, we couldn't afford to give them an away goal.
Badgers reach Setanta Shield final
Aldershot fell at the penultimate hurdle to Blue Square Premier behemoths Weebls-Stuff Dynamos.
They took a 2-0 lead into the first half, thanks to a close range header from TGT Littleshore, his first goal in over 25 hours of football. And yet another long range strike from Rich Caola. Aldershot managed to pull one back in the second half, which created a tense finale, but the Badgers prevailed to take them to their first ever final.
http://i27.tinypic.com/343kcnl.png
"It was a very even game today, we even came off worse in some ways, but at the end of the day its the result that counts and we showed the grit and determination to go through to the final. We have our FA trophy second leg soon so we can't rest on our laurels. When asked about his moment of the match, manager Jacob Mitchell said "No doubt it was in the last minute, they had a corner and Bull [the Aldershot keeper] had come up in a last gap attempt, he lost the ball in the box and seeing him sprint back to his goal, as JJ lined up a shot was hilarious, he didn't make it in time, but unfortunately, the shot landed on the roof of the net

Numbers frustrated at lack of clean sheets
In a rare break from his footballing, FMing and drinking Weebls-Stuff goalie Paul Numbers took time to talk to The Badger and Mushroom Weekly.
"The whole team have been performing great and as a team we're ecstatic, without sounding too cocky I'd say we're virtually certain to win the league now and those in higher divisions better be watching their backs. But personally I'm disappointed in my own performances. Midfielders and strikers generally judge performances on goals, assists, passing success rate and things like that, as a goalkeeper I can only judge my performance based on clean sheets and it must be said that I haven't kept very many. Sammy (Walker) has kept plenty and is certainly outperforming me at present and I can't blame the gaffer for choosing him ahead of me most of the time."
"To many it might seem like I'm worrying over nothing as we're winning anyway but next season will be tougher and I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I'm always looking to improve on what I do. I'm incredibly determined to keep a clean sheet every match whether we're playing the Under-11's blind school or Man Utd (same thing surely?)"
"I'm sure I can turn things around but I need to train harder and the way Sam is playing I have to hope the gaffer is feeling generous and will give me another chance to prove myself."

Shield can be ours
In yet another interview, as all the good players were busy with their lovers, Rich Caola told the dynamos' fanzine that he believes that, given the teams current form, they can win the Setanta Shield. "it's one of those games that's there to be won. We're entering with an upbeat attitude, a tatical master for a manager and some formidable form, which may cast seeds of doubt in the oppositions mind". When asked about his long range goals, he responded "If you don't shoot, you don't score, that's my philosophy. When the ball sets up nicely i just have a pop and see what happens, you can never predict situations like that".

When asked about the Badger's probable promotion by Horse fanciers weekly Oscar Dejardin responded with real confidence, 'At the training camp automatic promotion is always a common subject, we can almost taste the championship bubbly and sometimes we lose focus on the games in hand. 3 points at stake as Badgers beat Salisbury
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos coasted to a 4-1 victory at home to Salisbury to stretch their lead at the top of the table to 19 points, with 10 games to go its looking ever more likely that promotion is on the cards.
http://i28.tinypic.com/23kbtaf.png
We gave the fans something to cheer about today, but I don't want to see too much showboating, 'cos we will get complacent, but I have no doubt the lads will have a good laugh at JJ's attempt at a scissor kick. More seriously though, everyone impressed today, Nabs has done so well I can't see Liverpool letting us take him on board next season, but one can hope.
England call ups for Blue Square wonderkids
Three Weebls-Stuff Dynamos players have been called up to young England squads. 'keerper Sam Walker retains his place as England Under 19s goalkeeper, whilst captain Matty Nix and fellow keeper Paul Numbers have been called up to the England Under 21s, alongside Premiership superstars such as Theo Walcott.
Unbeaten run comes to end
Weebls-Stuff Dynamos unbeaten run of 26 games came to an end at 21st placed Droylsen.
In a poor match, with no real chances, it was the Badgers who looked the better team, but in all honesty they didn't deserve to win.

"We got lazy, I am not happy thats for sure. Just because our leading goalscorer isn't on the pitch doesn't mean we shouldn't try. JOHNSON SAYS SORRY BUT WON'T PANIC
Dynamos outspoken supremo Jake Johnson spoke to Banana Eaters Monhly today to vent his frustration at his performance in the recent 1-0 loss at lowly Droylsden.
"I'm very dissapointed with my performance in the last match. It shows the fans that we are not invincible and teams can beat us if they play well enough and we have an off-day. I tried my best but nothing seemed to work. Hopefully it will calm the press down as well, if ever you can take something positive from such a poor performance.
However, I won't be panicing. We will be in training tomorrow giving it more, starting a new unbeaten run."
Johnson also mentioned his joy at close team-mate Paul Numbers benig called up to the England U21 squad: "I'm over the moon for Oddaneven [Numbers] as his has shown how great a keeper he is. He will come up against some quality players in training and his skills will be tested to the extreme. But just because he is a non-league keeper, for now, it does not mean he will be playing second or third fiddle to these Premiership lads. Although I have asked him to get me a few autographs!"

"I know to many it may seem like the title is in the bag for us, but we don't want to collapse over the last few games and throw away an amazing season, I want to see us reach 100 points at least, then I know we've really achieved something, and will have prove our selves as worth champions, as they say, it's not over till the fat lady sings, and if we don't win the league, it'll be fat ladies for all of us at the end of season party!"

Weebls-Stuff scrape a point
In a game which was entirely one sided, Forest Green held Weebls-Stuff Dynamos to a 1 all draw. It wasn't a game for the neutral, as this lacklustre performance from the Badgers wasn't anything like what the fans are used to seeing.

JOHNSON PLEASED BUT DEMANDS MORE
Continuously talking winger Jake Johnson today spoke to Skirting Board Interest about the Dynamos recent accolade and future honours.
"Amazing. Just amazing. No one expected to see this at the end of the season. We have worked our socks off for this and we deserve every column inch of praise and even some of the criticism. We lost some games where the immaturity of the squad, not in terms of quality and ability, but in terms of gelling, was exposed. This will be erradicated with time and will hold us in good stead as we embark on league football. However, the season is not over. We have two finals and a 100 point mark to aim for. We cannot rest on our laurels thinking we've got the title thats it, game over. We want to win all we can. We need to focus and show people why we are good enough to survive, and even challenge, in the football league. Show people that we are champions."
When asked about shi favourite skirting board, Johnson replied: "I quite like a smooth pine."
