I'm not really fond of Star Wars: Rouge Leader, and Clone Wars.
In Rouge Leader, you get 11 missions, and some more, But I guess the levels are kinda 'Big', but It's still too short.
And Clone Wars was too easy. Destroying the boss at the end was so easy, I didn't even loose any life in that battle, 16 mission's isn't enough. They sould really have more missions on Star Wars games.

I totally agree with you, although I wouldnt say its the WORST game ever...

Frankly, I just dont see what the fuss is about The Sims. My sister has got all the expansion pakcs (except livin it up, which is mine). And they absoutely do nothing to add to the genre! I'm more concerned about MY life than the life of a polygon thingy on a monitor. Sims 2 looks good however.

SWAT3 was the best game. Ever. Nothing made before or since comes close. I havent come across a game with more realistic AI, a more useful command structure or better gameplay. It's a different type of game to SWAT2, and hats off to whoever decided that would be a good idea.

The reviews in the 80s and 90s seem to disagree with you too.

Worst game ever? Probably Galerians, for playstation. The cover was really deceptive and made it look like a fantastic resident evil type thing with psychic powers, but it was just awful to play.

I remember playing this cool DOS tetris clone called netrix or something, and it had all freaky circles that blew up bits and all kinds of crazy stuff. Plus is didnt have the music.

I remember when Bomberman Hero just came out for 64... I loved bomberman and I want HERO SO BADLY... and It was my birthday... and My cousin gave me a preasant and he said "i know you like bomberman................. Whats wrong with all the addons to the sims? It just gives u more furniture, wallpaper, etc. You dont HAVE to go downtown, or take a holiday(though recommended)

In context I'd say that Metal Gear Solid 2 is one of the worst games in terms of it not being much of a game due to all the 50 hours of cut scenes and plot with twists that burrowed right up it's own arse. Also it was over-hyped. (Good graphics at the time though) I think they got bored near the end though. How could the grand finale be a bloody sword fight. Not a patch on MGS1.

A game that suffered from general crappiness was Sega GT on Dreamcast (remember that) it felt like you were driving through invisible treacle even when you bothered to spend the time getting the best performance cars. Also the other cars had that type of AI where they smash into you and drive off like nothing just happened and leave you imbedded in the roadside scenery.

Bah. MGS2 is infinately better than the first one. The only arguments against it that I ever hear are:

'There are too many cutscenes' Yes, the game has a very complicated storyline and needs cutscenes to explain it.

'Raiden is a pussy compared to Snake' No he's not. He does sideflips whereas all Snake an do is foward rolls. He also has a sword and was a child soldier.

'The ending was too complicated and I didn't get it' Mayhap, because you are an idiot?

I did understand the plot but are you seriously telling me that you enjoy playing 15 minutes of game and then watching 35 minutes of dialogue? If I want a film then I'll buy a film but no game plot needs the amount of cut scenes that mgs2 had. I know that you can go past the cut scenes but on playing it for the first (and only) time you don't know how long each one will last prior to watching it and you also don't know if you're missing some hints that may be integral to further progress later on in the film.. sorry game.

Loads of other titles are plot driven but mgs2 went totally up it's own colon after the acclaim of mgs1. Also will anyone disagree that the bosses in mgs1 were superior to the bosses in mgs2? The only think superior about mgs2 is the graphics and maybe the packaging not to mention the pigeon shit.

Oh yes, I also nearly forgot to mention that the argument that 'there are too many cut-scenes' is a pretty valid argument if it has spoiled your enjoyment of the game.

I agree. I loved MGS2, and I liked it better than the 1st one (which I also enjoyed). However, Raiden IS a soppy wanker in my view, and I can't stand the bastard.

But that's what substance is for ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed mgs2 as it would be pretty boring if we all liked exactly the same things. I didn't think the actual game sections were that crap really but wouldn't anyone agree that the ending was weaker that the final battle in mgs1? Or am I totally alone here? Maybe they were behind schedule and didn't have time to finish it properly or am I just being too harsh in my criticism?

I did complete Splinter Cell on PC though. I thought this was a fantastic game. Thoroughly enjoyable from beggining to end and I can't wait for the sequel Pandora's box or whatever it's called.

Back to the topic though, another game I though was crap (but not the worse ever) was Spy Hunter on PS2. I played the original Spy Hunter on the Commodore 64 in its heyday and I think the fond memories of playing that when I was younger are what spoilt the new version for me. I didn't enjoy it as much in 3D.

Time Crisis!!!! They always put that game next to the DDR machines and that game is soo loud!!! It always messes up DDR because you can’t hear the songs! And to all of you that said DDR, have you ever tried to truly play it? It actually takes skill to play not just sit there pushing buttons.

I completed mgs2 and am an experienced gamer certainly not a ham fisted twat. I still stand by my above comments though as I am entitled to do as I can judge the game by experience not by reading a review or listening to what other people think. Everyone likes different things so to the people who are dumb enough to buy crap like the Pop stars game you would be the ham fisted twat if you said you didn't like it.

hey remember that old mmorpg ultima online? that had to be the worst mmorpg...no excuse me GAME ever. horrible lag and gameplay, and instead of fixing the bugs, they tried to make the people happy by adding more and more stuff to do, which ultimately added to the lag...

EDIT: Oh and DDR is one of the greatest games out there...i can only do 7 footers though, sometimes 8.:(

I played this game for a good 17 minutes on my old Atari.
Its a game where you fall into a hole over and over and over again.....thats it.

Atari received so many of them back that they had to bury the games out in the desert of NewMexico.
