List a movie or two you suggest and why. i'm looking for unusual movies people would not normally go see.

can i also suggest adding a link to the movie website or summary of the movie from allmovie (http://allmovie.com) or internet movie database (http://imdb.org)

i'm recommending the triplets of belleville (http://www.sonyclassics.com/triplets/) an interesting animated film. very little dialogue. visually fantastic. i enjoyed seeing this old school style of animation (ie not pixar) revived. the story of of a cyclist who get's kidnapped by gangsters and the comedy that ensues.

i particularly love the dog.

the only draw back was a lot of the dialogue was still in french, and i do not know any french. but since the dialogue was minimal, it was ok.

Liberty stands still. the film phonebooth was "loosely" based around. it is infinitely better and has a plot (shock horror) it does have wesley snipes in it but dont let that put you off, well worth a watch.

i like media forum mmmmmmm.

When I was younger I saw this really weird eighties film called "Paper House". About some girl who draws a house then goes there in her dreams. It's weird, and not everyone will like it but I thought it was interesting... in a really warped way...

Donny Darko - A movie that has become popular based purely on word of mouth.

OMG Nutnoodles I love you!!! What did I say in the other thread that's like this but isnt quite the same?

Otherwise I reckon that you want to see Free Enterprise (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0141105/). A true SciFi fan's treat.

And I just remembered another. Dead Man (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112817/), starring Johnny Depp and directed by Jim Jarmusch. An existential western movie (if there is such a thing!)

Intacto - a spanish film with subtitles, but it's based around a really good idea. See my thread about luck for the gist. Probably could have made more from it, but worth a look.

Seen it, it's pretty good, but boring in places.
