Simple, easy, effective. Like No More Nails.
Only less messy. Unless it's Animal Farm, the version George Orwell didn't want you to see.

Umm...Freaky Friday at the cinema. Not a bad film, if aimed at a younger age group.
On TV, Harry Potter I. I did promise to boycott them all, but I was babysitting, and couldn't do anything about it. Still haven't (and don't plan to) see number II.

the Sixth Sense (or the start of unbreakable but i gave up watching it). i didn't think the film was that great and the plot was flawed. (how could he not know he was dead if everybody failed to notice his prescence, HOW!)

It was pretty much exactly what you'd expect. A few laughs here and there, but nothing too clever. I'd highly recommend avoiding any adverts before seeing it. You can bet that anything funny will be played over&over in the clips.
Yeah- 21 Grams was so depressing. But Benicio DelToro is always so good. *sigh*
Das Boot is great too. Oh- I have such a thing for Jürgen Prochnow. Mmmmm.

We had a Massive Movie Night last week with a double feature of "The Corn Was Green" and "Orange County". The former is a littleknown really cute movie set in Wales starring Katharine Hepburn when she was around 75. She's a schoolteacher who moves to a Welsh mining village in the 187o's and sets up a school. Her star student is very smart but begins to get disilusioned. Excellent as far as I got. But why is it that all movies as far as I can se include "green" in their titles?
Orange County was entertaining but crappy nd predictable, yet I recommend it for a light laugh.

I saw "gothika" yesterday; it was crap. I don't have a clue what the title is about.
[Edit:
Found this on a site:
It's meant to reflect the dark, 'gothic' aspects of the movie.
Pff.. that bites. What's next? Naming a movie "Apples are yummy" and just putting an apple in a scene for two seconds?

Went to see the remake of Dawn of the Dead on friday. V.good. Plot is fairly similar to the original, but improves upon it vastly. Also, the advances in special effects have made a big difference. Just a shame they didn't make Day of the Dead first...

Mulholland drive is an odd film, left me and a load of my mates in a state of compete confusion.
Just when you think its gonna make sense, the last ten minutes were completely mindbending.

Citizen Kane is a good'n. I just realised that there is a White Stripes song where the lyrics are made up of lines and quotes from Citizen Kane.

Erm... Why would they make the third part of a trilogy first?!? Surely you meant they should have made Night of the Living Dead first?
Anyway, I saw The Thing last night. Great film! Because man is the warmest place to hide...

Cinema: School of rock - I hardly saw any of it as the seats were so uncomfortable I kept fidgeting all through it and couldn't get warm enough, then i got too hot and couldn't get cool enough, then I got too cold, it went in circles like that basically
Home: Finding Nemo - my sister got it for her birthday and its the only thing on tv in our house at the mo, if I have to hear Dory sing "just keep swimming, just keep swimming" one more time im gonna hunt down the makers of that damn film and make them wish they had never made that film.
Good wholesome fun all round then! :D

In le cinema, it would be Along Came Polly. Id seen it before but I was trying to impress a lady so I had to go see it again :(
On TV, Night of the Living Dead, then before that some film with John Malkovich about an alternate story regarding the making of the legendary black and white film Nosferatu. And before that Good Will Hunting. All in one night.

I saw Love actually the other night (to my eternal shame). It was a huge heap of shite. Just 6 or 7 semi plots stuck together to make one seriously awful movie. The Alan Rickman story line was ok. But only cos I like Alan Rickman. Looking old poor bugger.
However Keira Knightley and Elisha Cuthbert were not looking old. rarr! their presence did improve the film slightly.
And it had a god Damn dancing ewok ending. CURSE THE DANCING EWOKS.

I think thats partly due to the fact that at the time I though it was "probably the most disappointing film ever", whereas it's actually "OK but nowhere near as excellent as I had hoped it might be."

Last film I watched was a film called Scanners, with my gf.
Its about these crazy guys who can blow up people's heads with their minds.
They find a good one which is willing to help some scientists fight in the war against scanners, and eventually they win.

Its probably because you can fast-forward through the Trinity death scene (yawn). That scene ruined the entire film for me.
