Which film to do you lot think is the best created by CGI (Computer Generated Image)?

Heh, you missed off the daddeh of them all:

Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within

There are almost points in that movie that you forget it is entirely CGI!

Out of the rest of them I prefer Dreamworks pictures to Disney/Pixar because they are intentionally cartoony and tend to have more adult themes.

The first episode of the Animatrix is all CGI and it's the best I (or anyone else I've shown it to) have ever seen. It makes Final Fantasy look poor (even though it isn't).

Subsequent Animatrix episodes are mostly Manga style with a few little bits of CGI here and there, it's just the first one I'm talking about really.

Of all of them Toy story takes my vote.

A CGI film that actually had an amazingly funny story to back up the great visuals

What about Shrek? That's the best CGI movie. Donkey is just like my dog etc.

Umm, that was made by Square Pictures who made Final Fantasy: The Spirit's Within. In fact a lot of the models that they used for that animatrix short were exactly the same as the FF movie.

So of course it looks better, as they've kept improving themselves. Wait for the Final Fantasy VII movie that's coming out in the near future - that's probably gonna rock your socks of even more.

Monsters inc owned all of the other pixax films.

When it comes to best graphics though, square pictures kick ass.

You missed "Blah blah blah Nemo" as well.

I'd go with FF:Spirits Within Over tha Animatrix.

They based a lot of donkey animations on dogs.

Shrek is by far the best

But I would be worried if my dog looked like a donkey and talked like Eddie Murphey

firstly FF: Spirits was really really rubbish and an insult to the games.

and I Love finding nemo, how on earth could you miss it out ???

people are judging this mainly by the graphics of the film.
To really be the best cgi film it must have a good plot/storyline/characters etc.

Final Fantasy hence cannot win

No, he just sits like him and I imagine him thinking like him. I wish he could talk though, especially like Eddie Murphy!

"Cake! Everyone loves Battenburg, Battenburgs have layers!"

EDIT

Hehe Battenburgs, they are taking over the board.

ICE AGE and shrek. I really didnt think id enjoy Ice age, and admitidly it was a bit cheesy and shite at moments. But it had some great characters and was hilarious.
Shrek was a great movie. I just hope the sequal dosnt ruin it.

I'm all about 'Ice Age.' I watch that movie all the time. 'Finding Nemo' was excellent, as was 'Monsters Inc.' I adore all of Pixar's work. Very fabulous.

Final fantasty wasen't very good really, the graphics were but the rest was quite boring and didn't make alot of sense. I think the next one will be amazing though.

Toy Story (either 1 or 2) - First one brilliant. Second one bored me in theatres, but was a lot better on VHS/DVD

Monsters Inc. - Brilliant. Especially with Directors Commentary

Ice Age - Couldn't stand it.

A Bugs Life - Brilliant, yet under rated.

Antz - Alright.

final fantasy : the spirits within - Close, but no banana. Advent Children should be a lot better.

shrek - Brilliant.

finding nemo - Absolutely Brilliant.

In terms of sheer prettiness its gotta be Final Fantasy, but if you include story, etc, its such a close call between Shrek and Monsters Inc.....Gotta go with Shrek tho, just for Donkey

Well, actually, the way that Gollum was done on the LOTR films is better than all on the poll!
