View Full Version : What's Better, Video Or DvD?
Personly i prefere dvd as there lighter (not that video's are heavy)
and they will last longer, and special features and you can go interactive with them.
Videos are good but i think dvd's are better.
But...................... Videos are cheaper.

I prefer videos because they've got loads of this wierd stringy black stuff inside which is really good for making tourniquets during video related emergencies.
I think the answer is too darn obvious.Dvds pwn Videos

Yup.
I watched a video a while back and it's to re-discover all these little things..
- previews for other movies (takes like 15 minutes to get to the actual movie)
- no menu
- no choosing whether you want subtitels or not
- crap quality

Videos hold a sentimental value to me... but DVDs are much easier to deal with and last so much longer.

Funny seeing as they cost more to produce. Go figure.

hmm actually I like both.
Though mabye thats because..
1. I don't have a DVD player in my room.
2. What about the videos I already have? You can't get some of them on DVD :p

DVD's win hands down.
The only upside to videos are that there cheaper and you can stop it take it out and come back to the same place.

DVDs will last longer in storage, if you leave a video for a long time it goes brittle and then the tape breaks whe nyou try to play it. DVDs have no moving parts to wear out.
you cant get Barton Fink on DVD region 2, only VHS :nana:
edit:
most players remember where you are on every disc now, so you can put it back in and carry on where you left off

Yes, you must. :p
I've never scratched a CD or DVD in all my puff, and I'm quite a messy person. I'm just careful with things of value. I never understand how people find that so difficult.. Ah well.

Actually I've read a report which showed that the laser which reads your dvd's actually warps them over time till they become knackered. So even if you're careful with them they still die. Report was in Broadcast magazine - so must be true.
Additionally DVDs are so last year... (http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99991952)
